GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Although I appreciate all the support, at this point it may be counter-productive....

I was just thinking that as I was catching up. I was looking at responses after mine and I was thinking the same thing.

No way Bill wants to hear or about 100+/- call for an SFO run.

I would go out on a limb and say the 77 northfield Barlow is probably one of the most sought after gec knives out there . I think there will be a run sometime before the year is out . Just makes good sense .

Even more so than a TC 15 Barlow?

I would say the TC might have more followers with the 77 NF a very close second. But that's just a guess . I love them both but favor the 77 because of the size difference.

they both fit the hand so well, very versatile sizes

I would venture to say that the 77 would be my preference as well. I have two single blade 15s now, one being the Forum knife and though both of them are excellent knives and I enjoy them immensely, they have a sense of "smallness" to them. I'd like to pick up one of the 15 cap lifters and see if the added heft makes it more pleasing in the hand. Otherwise the 77 might turn out just right for me.

I am looking forward to trying the 77 out whenever they land, whether it be a Barlow or a regular Jack, it looks like a solid frame.

I'm guessing we'll just have to wait for that right time when GEC's schedule can support Mike's extra huge order. ;)

I most definitely like the 77 frame over the 15. No question whatsoever. Barlow works on any knife and makes it better, IMO.

Last year's N. Barlow was my first and favorite of all of them. I lucked up on that, but I love the 77 N. Barlow and would take any configuration. I like them that much. Might not get one of each, but it is in my top 5 knife models.

I have one #15 but its not a barlow, its a little small for me but i have 2 #77 barlows and they may be the perfect knife for me except for the #71, they are both excellent.

No #77's on the schedule thru the end of 2017. Maybe if enough interest is shown at the factory we will get a run on the books.
I just noticed the post about our efforts earlier this year at getting a run of 77s on the books might of been counter productive. I do see the point but I just wanted to say I only reached out after reading the above post that Mike himself posted. Not that it's a big deal but if I miss understood I apologize.
