GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

Excellent David. I saw that you just picked one up and was wondering if you would be sending it off to Paul. You'll love it.

Performed another body sculpting today. If Paul H is the CEO of EO's, maybe I can be his VP? :D

Not sure if I'm CEO of anything Bob but if I am then your the CFO my friend:D

Just a spot on fantastic job on your knife buddy, you do excellent work:thumbup:

Yes... I love this beauty!

Goes great w/ coffee or anything else. It would be a hard time getting me to let this one go.

The autumn gold bone turned out much nicer than I expected. I regret not having ordered one. Oh, well. Maybe it will come back for a future run. Beautiful knife, Todd!

Very nice combo, last rodeo! Hey sugarleaf, those are some kind a good lookin stag slabs on those #77s! I'm envious!

Thanks Perry! Sounds like you had a blast at the show and came back with quite a nice haul! How amazing to be gifted a treasure, an Ebony Radio Jack! Dave (Knowtracks) sure is something else. What a GREAT guy! I wasn't able to attend the show, but was fortunate enough to be there in spirit, as Dave was so kind and generous to act as my proxy. So while I didn't physically attend the show, I was still able to get a couple of barlows I was after! I can't wait to see some more photos of your knives and hopefully some photos that you took at the show!!

You have me pegged sir! :) I just had to snag it - I've been bitten by so many knife-bugs, I've lost count…

Bob - that looks FANTASTIC sir!!!
I have one headed to Paul as we speak - destined for a similarly wonderful transformation :) After seeing your fine work, now I'm really excited! :)

I can vouch for Bob's (BigBiscuit) work. I have a couple of his EO modified knives and they look great!

Wow, can't wait to see which ones Dave scored for you. I had a feeling someone would think of getting someone else attending to grab a few for them. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity!

You sure see lots of these in the "Forum: For Sale: Traditionals, Slipjoints, "Old Timey" style knives". Makes one wonder...

A lot of folks that pre-ordered, got at least one of each blade style or handle material so they could decide first hand which one they would have a connection with. Then they sell off the ones that just didn't do it for them. I don't think its a reflection of the quality of the product at all. Most seemed very pleased with the new offering.

Yeah, what an incredibly amazing guy Dave is! I was humbled when he contacted me and offered to keep an eye out for a couple of Barlows for me. I just talked to him this morning and it sounds like my Barlows are en route. I will be sure to post a few photos up in Charlie's Barlow thread when they arrive!

I agree, Bob. A lot of folks knew these knives would be in short supply. So they bought extras to try out, or to sell or trade for other knives. But I'm hanging on to mine. Only got two, and I don't really want to give up either of 'em! On the contrary, if the right one shows up for sale or trade, I may try to pick up a third.

Every single day 24/7 since it arrived here over two months ago... This sheepfoot 77 in African Blackwood now OWNS the #1 spot in my pocket. Peanut in the watch pocket of course.

This is remarkable considering the knives it has displaced. You have some beautiful ebony knives! Is it the sheepfoot blade, the weight and size, the shape of the handles? What do you like so much about the Northfield Barlow?
