That and buy a lot of knives from one and you’ll get in.Correct.
Though I would say it’s never too late to start sowing seeds…
Not every dealer relies on “drops”
Yeah. Got a time machine for folks who only started appreciating traditional knives in the past five years?15 years ago.
Started in 2018. So there is that.Yeah. Got a time machine for folks who only started appreciating traditional knives in the past five years?
Not enoughfor that.
But you have MAD skills! Really, honestly, I am in awe of what you do. I could spend my whole life trying and never even approach one of your marvelous creations.I have sent a few dealers hand carved Christmas ornaments. And I'm going to again this year.![]()

GEC knives are not for poor working folks. If those days ever existed, they are long, long, gone. Now they are for the unemployed and underemployed who have nothing more important to do all day than to refresh their websites and notifications from vendors, and for wealthy folks who can afford to pay flippers' prices. But that's OK - there's always CASE, Rough Ryder, and some Chinese brands.![]()
I think the bold was what was being addressed - that there are other ways - but they are definitely a luxury item, and the cost of entry has gotten expensive (money and/or time).GEC knives are not for poor working folks. Beautiful knife! Just got an invoice from my dealer for one and now I’m totally jazzed! How does walk and talk compare to your Angus? The Red and Black Micarta 86 arrived today..... I think the design was well thought out with no off-putting features...... The production group did a great job bringing the design to fruition....
I like the downward rake of the cutting edge relative to the handle axis..... It feels light and nimble in the hand...... Oh, and with a pinch able blade......
