Gec built 2022 Remington Bullet knife

My order hit my doorstep this morning. What a lovely piece of work. It is svelte, elegant, and light in hand.
Here are some photos next to my beloved Case Bose Bullnose. Pull is similar to the Bullnose, way more pleasant to open than my GEC 23.

It’s a keeper for me.

Looks great, J jeffbird -- congrats! 👍 Really like the look of that "Autumn Tan" sawcut bone!

Remingtons showed up, GEC did a great job on their first grand daddy barlow, downsized just the right amount from the originals. Action is about perfect, really snappy and maybe a heavy 5 pull, snaps firmly into the half stop and the open position. Wonder if they will ever make some under their brand. Picture shows them next to an original Case.

For some reason I’m surprised how close in size it is to the 65. How does the pull compare between the 65 and Granddaddy Barlow?
Not a great judge of that but the 65 seems a little snappier. The Remington needed a good flushing, after that it seems fine to me.

Awe yeah these are lookin good! Thanks for the pics and comparisons so far, I’m very happy I ordered 2. (Still 1* left!)

Ordered mine on the 10th, my account shows it still processing? Must be that they do not work on orders over a weekend.

Looks like it's out of stock now.

I'm hoping mine arrives tomorrow, these pics are getting me excited.

One already sold, too. Same guy with multiples selling them for $250 which, after fees can't make him more than $20 each...
Considering I paid almost $215 for mine with free shipping and would have been more with expedited shipping, then tack on Bay fees and shipping, $250 isn't out of line, probably almost breaks even after packaging and a trip to the post office...
I was just surprised to see one so soon, but then again we've seen knives for sale before they've even been delivered.

Well, FedEx delivered a day before they said they would, which will brook no complaints from me.

It's a nicely executed knife and I am very pleased that I could scoop one up. I hope SMKW and GEC continue these Remington collaborations in the years to come, it's nice to have a Remington branded knife that is of such nice quality.

The action right out of the box is probably a bit lighter than some would like but it is nice and snappy and considerably better than most of the 97s that are in my possession. The sawcut bone is a real treat and though shields on Barlows are always a bit weird to me, this silver bullet is not off-putting at all - it feels like it belongs there.

Overall, this is a really well made knife and it will be fun to get better acquainted with it in the near future.

Another note: Folks who are put off by the slight recurve and forward belly on the 97s and other large clips will be pleased to see that the blade on this is completely different. A very well executed large clip blade.
