I am interested. Anyone heard any scuttlebutt on the pull on these?

https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
Hopefully it has a harder pull than the similarly sized 97, really weak.I am interested. Anyone heard any scuttlebutt on the pull on these?
You think $200 is high, just wait a couple months and try to buy one on the secondary market. Last years Prospector is ~$300 right now.....Yeah, no one is getting hustled unless you think the original price is a hustle. I wouldn’t call this a good price, but it fits the “fair enough“ price IMO.
I was told by a reliable source they made 1k knives.I think the sterling silver shield is really nice and very traditional for Remington knives.
I wonder if the sterling silver shield limited the number they produced?
Looking forward to this one!
Not sure why anybody would think its small....Its only a tiny bit smaller than the Remington 1630 Navigator made by Camillus in 2000....It is beautiful knife and I would like to get one but I would have to keep it with some other Grandaddy Barlows and it would look a little Small .
And I have a Remington Grandaddy gifted to me by a good friend named Johnnytwoshoes in 2017 . I could have gotten one but decided to save the $200 for later . Congrats to all who get one . They will be a GREAT KNIFE . Carry them in good health my friends .
Thank you but he did not talk at all to the pull weight. He kinda finger slapped it closed. For those asking about the pull, there is a SMKW YouTube video showing the knife in hand. Granted only one example
Yeah, you’re right but hey, it’s the only video I’ve seen so far. I can tell you first hand TuesdayThank you but he did not talk at all to the pull weight. He kinda finger slapped it closed.
As compared to the Original Grandaddy Barlows , it is about 1/2 " Shorter . You are correct in that it is STILL not a small knife .Not sure why anybody would think its small....Its only a tiny bit smaller than the Remington 1630 Navigator made by Camillus in 2000....![]()
I agree. Sticking a bear with that knife will probably just make it angry and hasten your demise.May not be worth mentioning, but the box looks pretty neat too. The trapper, while gorgeous and well made, came with a rather boring box in comparison to this:

At 4.7" closed, it edges out my next longest knife in the 65 pattern (4.5"). I figure when it isn't being used to stick bears, it might cut through an envelope or two.
edit: pure speculation - 2022 being the 40th anniversary for Remington might be why the tang stamp ended up being '22 despite B+S already having a 2022 model out?
I agree. Sticking a bear with that knife will probably just make it hangry and hasten your demise.
I read a comment elsewhere from Randy at the factory who said the Remingtons do not have the light pull issues the 97 had. He said they are as they should be. He mentioned that the 97 light pull issue was due to a heat-treat issue. He thinks we’ll be happier with the pull.Hopefully it has a harder pull than the similarly sized 97, really weak.
Maybe GEC remedied that issue seeing as there were plenty of gripes about it.
