Gec built 2022 Remington Bullet knife

I read a comment elsewhere from Randy at the factory who said the Remingtons do not have the light pull issues the 97 had. He said they are as they should be. He mentioned that the 97 light pull issue was due to a heat-treat issue. He thinks we’ll be happier with the pull.
Interesting — I think that’s the first time I’ve seen an explanation for what went wrong with the pull on the 97’s. A shame, really.

It really is a shame, especially given how nice the cover options were on that run. Randy said the 97 setup knife had plenty of pull. I might have sat the Remingtons out if I hadn’t heard that, but picked up a couple. They may be what the 97 was suppose to be.

I am glad I got one, I asked my sister to pick one up for me because she had better computer access. I must have no idea what other people like because I was worried they would sell out quick.

Does it really matter? They will all sell eventually out regardless. 🤷

This looks like a wonderful knife to me. The 2021 trapper is what got me diving into traditional folders.
I would totally be down for this granddaddy Barlow if I wasn't in such a minimalist phase of my life right now. I hope everyone who wants one gets in on this drop. And, like some of you guys, I think the pull will make or break this knife.

Thats funny cause I thought we've heard several times that the light pull was historically accurate, as these were often used by factory workers and one handed opening (grasping the blade and tossing it open) was a normal thing. I personally really enjoy the pull level of my 97s, around a 5, and they still snap plenty enough for me. From the brief shot of the Remington 95 closing, it looked as light to me...

Just like eBay. ;)

For those in the US, the State determines if shipping fees are taxable. Similar to State Sales tax, how tax is handled on shipping will vary. Based on a very quick search, 13 states do not have sales tax on shipping (Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, Virginia and Wyoming) however even among those, some do have special treatment of Handling fees.

Mix in that complication along with the idea of 'free shipping' (if shipping is 0.00 then would that be the basis of sales tax calculations? i'm no accountant) and that might be why there's variation in responses regarding s+h fees.

edit: Hawaii is super interesting in that Hawaii uses General Excise Tax (GET) or Use tax for goods and services that are imported. you learn something new every day.

Unrelated, this image of the included papers reminded me that I don't think I ever got around to reading last years!
