Ghost of Christmas Present GA!! Winner in Post #201

Jusse Smollette shouldn't beat himself up ... after all it's the first time Nigerians have been scammed by an American!

In the 1500s chess became so popular the Pope outlawed the game as it was preventing the faithful from attending services. A group of parishioners were caught playing chess on Sunday instead of attending services and the Pope ordered them executed. Was the first time in recorded history of chess nuts roasting on an open fire! HO! HO! HO!

Oh be still, my beating heart!

Charlie!!! That is a winner for sure. White bone is my favorite material! I am definitely in.

“What's the best way to calm down a knife-wielding wife?

Please answer quickly”

To all, I wish you luck!

Not a Joke but a poem about this Giveaway Charlie! Man, each time I see a giveaway, I often say no thanks because I am so very lucky to have such good friends who have been so generous, this time I would like to see if I can enter please Charlie, but if I were to win, would like my friend Paul Hilborn to receive this outstanding knife, Paul's generosity is incredible and he has looked after so so many on the porch and outside of it.
Paul now is recovering from Major surgery on his Knee and I know for a fact this Knife would lift him through the roof - which he deserves, as do so many others here - so good luck everyone!

So instead of a Joke, I thought of this Poem.....

Charlies Giveaway:

Sitting on my porch while Whittling today, I just happened to spy this incredible giveaway

Although this Knife I truly would love, to have it passed on would score points from above

My Knife's Wharncliffe Blade with Swage to the point, Walk and Talk so smooth with fresh oil in the Joint

Each slice I make deep into the Wood, the Blades edge slices with ease, just as it should

One slip with that Blade and it reveals that Crimson Red Flow, it adds to the scars from times long ago

With the Knife users curse I stem the flow with a plaster, and make sure this time The Knife obeys it's Master

When finished I lay down that small Wooden Toy, and hope that my wee Grandson plays with it with so fun and so much Joy

Speaking of Joy when my Friend first holds Charlie's Knife, these will be the times that are great in a Knife Lovers Life.

Knife Joke sure to emit a Groan that I mixed up with a internet search...

person 1: "My Knife's better than me'
person 2: "How can your Knife be better than you?"
Person 1: "Because I am living Life on the edge but my life has no point.

I know I'll be lambasted for this, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the hemlock bone. On the other hand, I love smooth white bone. It was what my first GEC was, a TC sheepfoot from 2013. I haven't participated here much in the last year but I still lurk every now and then not in small part because it's where Waynorth interacts with the knife community and I'm always up for learning more from your wisdom, so I'm not sure if I qualify. If I won it I would plan to keep it indefinitely and only ever let it leave my possession if I gave it to someone.

I am not much of a joke repository. I've tried to tell knife jokes before, but usually they tell me bluntly that they didn't get the point.

This is a walk-off home run. Game over.

We lose. You deservedly win.

Congratulations!!

Wow eekers.gif
I want 😍😍😍
Very generous Charlie thumb.gif
As much as I would like to have it, I don't think being a BF member for 3 years qualifies me as a "long term", so I'd like to enter for R8shell.

What do Mack the knife, Attila the Hun, and Winnie the Pooh have in common?

Same middle name.

The smooth white bone handle turned out better than I thought it would. Very nicely done.

Edit to add: This is in no way an entry. I am way too new here to be considered an old timer. I just was surprised at how good the model 86 looked with white bone covers.
