Ira, you have a long way to go to be as good at insulting people as John goncz, but if you practice lots I'll bet you could be just about as good as the master.

A multi Million Dollar investment we will not jeopardize it for couple of hundred Dollars. It would not make sense.

The address given on the Goncz web site belongs to the "Letter Locker" (similar to a mail boxes etc. or other postal box business) and Mr. Goncz does currently use this post box. Mr. Goncz appears to have no office or commercial property in the immediate area. There are no business licenses (or other related licensing) affiliated to Mr. Goncz or Goncz Hi-Tech (flashlights) in the Los Angeles area. This includes North Hollywood, etc. Other requisite licensing may be checked in the near future.

What's up with that??????

I thought these lights were: Made in the USA. Where are they built then?

I imagine he just designs, then subcontracts out the making of the parts and possibly the assembly.

I don't think it would be cost productive to set up a complete new shop.

I came across this review on the Great Shark web site:

"I just received the Goncz Hi-Tech flashlight, Model M-10-Comet, which is made in California. Amaizing piece of work, it is rechargeable Ni-Mh battery pack with fast smart charger 12 v @4.00 amps. Xenon light 1 Million Candle P., focusable. It was only $380.- They offring variation of products and I highly recomend them at: www.goncz.net
The guy who invented it, he also produced the Goncz Hi-Tech weapons, that was used in the Film "Total Recall", "Assasins", Bandera's gun, "Planet of the Apes" with Charlton Heston. We like the the products as they are also water proof so you can use it for diving also.
Chongor"

If you click on the reviewer's name (Chongor), you are linked to the e-mail address goncz1@earthlink.net!

Greg, I think that was previously mentioned back a page or two. Heh, still funny though, thanks.

Good question Wolfmann. these are most likely subcontracted as Dave described. Probably out of Mexico. Does any of of the persons who have received a unit recall any manufacturer markings (other than what appears to be the engraving around the head) perhaps on the inside? Another question for the recipients of lights, Does the recharger plug into the tail end?

Regards,

Stuart

Anyone want to take the over/under on how many more times we see posts by John?

In this thread only, the over/under is 3 posts.

I'm in for the UNDER.
