Geez, he said he'll do it so just let him do it. You've had to wait seven months so why are you trying to antagonize him at this point when things are coming to a head. Back off for a moment and let him send your stuff like he said.
 
I shouldn't even post any longer, but why is it good enough to use UPS to ship out, but you are fighting to have it Fed Ex'd?

Jason is OK in my book. The man has had 1 heck of a year...and I'm sure he feels bad about the time spent on this.

Lets chill out. This is going to be settled. There is no legit reason for anyone to be upset any more and there has been enough said sometimes not in the best of ways.
 
Also, any more "cussing" in this thread, and I'm going to start handing out infractions like candy on Halloween.:grumpy:

Jason is a good guy and is trying to work this out, while you through insults.

I would understand if it actually was 7k in knives and Jason was actually a thief and not the man he is.

As someone who does quite a bit of both negotiation and conflict resolution at work, I second the statement of just backing off, engaging silent mode and letting the man do what he said. Jason is an honorable person and this annoying micromanagement of the return process will just lead to distraction and possible mistakes based on pure frustration. For those of us who consider this forum a nice place to wind down, this is out of control. For those of us who understand real loss, this concern is small stuff.

and all this over what my calculator estimates to be roughly $2000 worth o knives

no where near $7000 and all the insults.

all you did was make a terrible time for a recovering vet ....

Jason has made sheaths for me and provided a good product for a fair price. I know he’s been going through a very difficult time. He had a blade of mine that he hoped to make a sheath for but his circumstances prevented him from doing. After a few emails and a phone conversation he shipped my SW back overnight at his own expense. He even offered to make any sheath I needed for free. I don’t know him but he seems like a good guy. I do know that it seems like bad things always happen to good people.

Exactly. What's the issue here? Man-up and send the guy his property... the rest of you bleeding hearts pipe down and stop defending some pretty daisy-like behavoir. The "I'm having such a bad time in my life" excuse is pretty old.

If life is that tough that you can't take care of your affairs, pull the rip cord and spare the air. ;)
 
scarab$, how much of the thread have you read? Jason will be sending the knives back, now, not in the distant future. The problem was solved before you just popped up and told him to drop dead.

Not acceptable. You deserve an infraction for trolling.
