You overtly insulted an honorably discharged, wounded in-the-line-of-duty U.S. war vet trying to get out from under some substantial setbacks, and gross number of which are not of his own creation.

He admitted that he is slow to respond, beyond that, he is relatively golden, and you are splashing salt on his wounds for your own amusement, which is pretty cruel, imo.

So, we don't have anything to prove, but you have shown yourself to be unwelcome here. I CAN categorically state that if you acted this way towards me in person that I would find it offensive.

First off, I had no idea he was wounded in the line of duty, and for that fact alone I apologize profusely for my comments to Jason regarding his condition. I made the assumption he was similar to the overly cornfed wannabes that frequent this site. I was wrong.

Second, I'm not a troll. Simply posted my feelings with the limited information I had. Still doesn't excuse many of you for hoping on the other guys jock and mocking the situation where he had not received his hardware.

Lastly, I'm glad this was resolved.

1. If you had read BOTH threads, you would have seen that Jason is a wounded vet....and a DIRECT apology to him, here in this thread, e-mail or telephone would do a great deal to assure your contrition is sincere.

2. Valley Tin Works was verily shown to be a bit of a drama queen in this case, and patently overstated the value of his knives as well, making his position look fairly weak....and damaging his regard from his fellow Forumites.

3. We all learn from our mistakes.

Therein lies your problem.

There's an 11-page thread here that you could have read. No one ever said VTW didn't deserve his knives back. No one even said he didn't deserve them back in a timely fashion. Also, VTW has provided dramatics in the past here at BFC.

Some of us read the thread, and some of us have seen VTW's antics in the past. Our information was a little less... limited.


Edit: Don't mean to sound like an echo. Was posting at the same time as Kohai999.

This should be finished. The knives are on their way back to VTW. There should be no reason for anyone to continue to throw insults around. There are much more entertaining threads elsewhere on the forum.
 
I will listen to calmer folks and just place scab on ignore.
