Great lakes waterjet is a no pay for my services from back in 2009.

Email has been sent to David Curtiss @ greatlakeswaterjet, requesting that he settle his debts.
He now has 1 week to make restitution before his account here will be removed.
 
If Dave wants to pay through a third party, I'll gladly accept the payment for Richard and will get it to him. That way Dave cannot say that the money was paid if he hasn't done so. I'll post here the minute he pays it.
Dave, you can contact me if that will work for you. I'd just like to see this taken care of.

Since you are now reading this thread and likely taking your screenshots for your "lawyers", we here would appreciate an explanation or proof of payment to Richard in this thread.
 
Its a shame that Richard will probablynever see that money. I can imagine what it took to get Richard to fire up in this forum. Richard is a great guy and I am thankful to know him and appreciate his kindness of helping others. Godspeed on your recovery sir. Call anytime...Herb
 
Pretty messed up a dude owes you money and won't pay up especially after surgery he's reading the thread now , I see him in the active user list right beside me so he's seen this thread, Hey scumbag pay Richard what you owe him. thats his income and his prices are more than fair pay your debts. I consider Richard a friend of mine and don't like seeing my friends getting taken advantage of, so pay up, and you threatened him too? Class Friggin act Right there folks. Richard you probably will never see that money, If i can help you out let me know, I know you been out of commission for awhile and I'll be happy to help you out any way i can.

Yes you should have, however it is not always feasible to write up three paragraphs especially when life has given you more then enough to deal with.. Its pretty sad when someone who does a good deed is forced to be inconvinienced and then has to publicly relay problems in hope that the coward will man up and pay his debts... I have no relation/prior contact to you but wish you the best in this and pray for a quick and healthy recovery. God bless.
 
There have been some extenuating circumstances as to why this hadn't happened sooner.
The least of which is richard being too nice a guy.......
He's been lied to, strung along and threatened with violence and litigation.
These are the small things that Mr. Curtiss has done.
If this drags on longer perhaps more of the truth will be known.

IMHO the whole iceberg should be revealed, so we can be warned.
 
It's pretty sad that he's been seen reading this thread a few times now and still hasn't said a word. Hope it works out though, no one should have to wait that long to get paid.
 
Wow what a spineless, poor excuse for a man. It's guys like you that make it hard for decent folks to have faith in their fellow man.

I don't know Richard well, but I believe him to be an honorable guy. Pay him what you owe him you lousy liar.
 
if someone owes me something and makes things right, the matter is resolved but if not the matter is not. thats the way i am. i have waited too long to do this and he needs to man up and pay me and not lie about it.
 
I can tell you Richard is as stand up as they come guys, for those of you who have never dealt with him let me give you an idea of how he does business, he sharpens knives for 1$ per inch or 2$ an inch convexed, plus return shipping, so he's not making much money, You send him the tracking number when you ship the knives out and he watches the package, when he gets it he calls you to tell you he has your knife, and makes sure the instructions you gave him are correct , and or you haven't changed your mind on what you want done, He will then call you back , with me it was about 5 minutes after saying , "hey I got your knife I'm about to sharpen it you sure you want it like you said in the note...About 5 minutes later he calls me back, Hey Allen just wanted you to know your knife is done shes razor sharp and I'll ship it back to you today if I can make it back to the post office, If not I'll ship it out tomorrow, first thing, which he was done with every knife I have ever sent him, either same day return shipping or the next day, Factor in gas money going to the post office, and what he charges, and he isn't making that much cash on his knives. Also he will talk to you and try to educate you on sharpening your knife, For a man that makes money sharpening knives to tell me he would rather teach someone how to sharpen rather than do it for them, that's a stand up guy right there. Considering He's on of the nicest people I've ever talked too I believe he only waited so long as to give the other party time to repay, but after he's been out of action for awhile I'm sure he needs cash, so he went looking for the guy that owed him some cash. I trust Richard 100% and would stake my rep. on this forum for him. If he says something you can take it to the bank I promise you that...
 
As much as I like Curtiss designs, I don't think I'll be buying any of them now. Can't support people that act like that.

I have NOT done any business with Richard, but I have talked to him on the phone a couple times now. And he seems to be straight up all the way. ( NO - B.S.)

Richard and everyone else waiting on me, I am out of the shop till Thursday morning. I did talk to Spark about the thread this morning. I have paperwork at the shop to show what I have paid to Richard. I have looked into it as much as I can being away, but promise as soon as I return I will make things right with Richard as soon as possible. If I made a mistake, I own it. For all of you that want to name call and talk a big game, you are not helping anything. I sent Richard an email to have him call me and he refused to talk. Thats fine. I wasn't very nice the last time we spoke and I apologize for that Richard. I should not have spoke to you in that tone. For the people that know me, they will tell you that I am a stand up person. If I made a mistake, I will correct it. If I screw up, I do my best to fix it. We all have bad times and make mistakes. It comes down to this. Richard, if I owe you money, rest assured I will pay you and then some. I will be back to post again Thursday evening to settle this matter once and for all.
