And we thank you so much for all you do Jack. If it wasn't for your efforts most of us wouldn't even know what a lambsfoot knife is.I can only really ask them to address issues that relate to the knives they make for ME, and so far they have done an excellent job.
Big Red is looking fine and dandy.
We went through that recently here in California. Luckily everybody in California has air conditioning, so we can cool our hoses off a bit. Hopefully you'll get some weather soon that will help knock those fires down. Thanks, JohnWe are socked in with smoke from the forest fires since last evening. We can't open the windows to cool off the condo, usually, this view would show the big hill as well as the mountains in the background.

We owe them all to you, Jack.
I've had people ask me how they got the wolf head design in there, like it was done on purpose.
Cool picture. It looks like the knife is making everything glow around it.![]()

haha you never know, it might have something to do with the legalizing of cannabis this past October. Are you sure that all that smoke isn't from Cheech & Chong moving next door ?
I hope it clears out soon, Dave.
Thank you Dave. I hope the smoke clears soon my friend!Totally cool Dwight
Thanks Jack. The Yorkshire Rose is Ravishing. One of my most favorite features of the lambsfoot is the stiff pull and hard snap. I absolutely love the large coke bottle pattern and intended to pickup a ton of them. The weak pull killed it dead.Wow! Incredible Dwight
Oh, to live in a First World country
I have to agree with you, Dwight. One of my most favorite features of the lambsfoot is the stiff pull and hard snap
That ivory is looking good, Jack. You know, isn't scrimshaw done on ivory? Maybe Rachel can put a whale on it, or a bottle of beer, or a smiley face. That is very beautiful Ray![]()
Nice choice Taylor![]()
Glad they made it Steve. Regarding the blade alignment, that is a shame. I have also had off-centre blades in the past, I think are small percentage of Wright's standard production knives are like that. It's worth remembering that they are fairly inexpensive factory-made knives, and I can live with an off-centre blade, as long as it's not rubbing on the liner. However, it is not something I like at all, and so on the Guardians knives, I specify that all the blades have to be centered. Looking forward to seeing your pics![]()
Many thanks for that helpful post Harvey![]()
I like a stiff pull, and the general consensus among the Guardians seems to be the same, but I do think that, in a few cases, the blades on Wright's knives can be overly stiff to open. I have brought this to their attention, but they tend to be a bit unreceptive to criticism unfortunately, particularly on issues they get few complaints about. I can only really ask them to address issues that relate to the knives they make for ME, and so far they have done an excellent job. The quality of their standard range has improved a lot over the past five years, but I do think there are still issues they could address. There's only so much I can do I'm afraid, I only buy a few knives from their standard range, preferring to pay a little more for a better quality product. For those who struggle with a firm pull, I think it's worth noting that, in general, the larger blades are easier to open, and the Candle-end (straight) frames allow the blade to be pinched more easily than the blades on the Swayback frame. Having said that, I have mild arthritis myself, and I don't think my fingers are particularly strong anymore, but I think I can pinch the blade open on all my Lambsfoot knives
Morning Guardians, hope everyone has had a good weekI'm still struggling with my internet connection I'm afraid, and this is likely to continue for at least a couple of weeks I'm afraid
Oh, to live in a First World country
At least it's Friday eh
Have a good day folks

I stayed with some friends once in Oceanside, Cal., in a house with no air conditioning in July. Didn't need it, though. Slept with the windows open. Great climate. We went through that recently here in California. Luckily everybody in California has air conditioning, so we can cool our hoses off a bit. Hopefully you'll get some weather soon that will help knock those fires down.
Not withstanding @Barman1 valid criticism regarding the stiffness of pull, and I could be wrong, but I consider these working knives, hence the need for more stiffness than your typical pocket knife. By it’s original designated purpose it was often used on a relatively uncooperative subject, the lamb. Now I wouldn’t want a lambsfoot that was excessively stiff, but a little stiffness keeps it as a safer working knife. My solution is simply to be a regularly contributing Guardian and to be on your mailing list. That is very beautiful Ray![]()
