Went out with the Missus myself tonight for seafood. Didn't take a picture of the food, but took one of the moose head on the wall:

Thought of you and Canada, Dave!
The restaurant was called Blackbeard's, and is on North Beach (part of Corpus Christi near the harbour). I proposed to my wife 28 years ago tonight on North Beach.

You kids are looking good!! It's funny how we think of others when certain things arise. Because the restaurant was featuring this Texas iced Tea I instantly thought of you. Of course, if I ever see someone eating a Chip butty? spell? Jack Black will be in my thoughts. :p

Charlie @waynorth , I cannot wait to see all of the amazing versions of the Lambsfoot that you will create in the future!

Great photo Mark, Ramrodmb Ramrodmb . What is the knife sitting on?

You have a great one there Dennis. I wish GEC had not sworn off horn knives! They are so beautiful.
Hi Greg. Thank you sir! Great post with the optional cover choices for the WCLF! ;)
The knife in my photo is sitting on a wooden mushroom garden statue. My wife picks up a new one every year when we go to Colorado on vacation. We have about a dozen different ones. This one is shaped like a Morel and one of my favorites.

Jack Black Jack Black Thank you Jack. Very nice to see your Waynorth Lamb in what is now its’ natural surroundings. It’s 16 degrees C in your neck of the woods(as I tap this), so heat is no longer a concern.:)

@5K Qs Thank you kindly GT. One truly can never get enough of seeing Black Jack. Fine image.

Ramrodmb Ramrodmb Thank you and much appreciation, Mark The wooden clad Lamb (Ironwood?) is a TEW. Your Yankee cordless drill makes for a great pairing with your Waynorth Lambsfoot. The in the garden image of your Ironwood Lambsfoot is lush.

mitch4ging mitch4ging Dennis, That Horn Lambfoot. Sweet!

@Âchillepattada Thank you kindly.

Good Morning Guardians. Wishing you all a fine weekend.

Thanks Harvey! Now I remember the TEW. Fine group you have there and a beautiful pic of your Ebony WN!

Beautiful colors and textures in that flock Harvey. I love your collection of elderly lambs.

Ramrodmb Ramrodmb - Mark you are posting some fantastic photos!

On the side...I love taking photos of flowers :) I don't normally mix them with knives but this one is well done! Is that Ironwood or Cocobolo?

I need to get a horn version one of these days...a ton of personality to them

Beauty :)

Whatever you are working on there looks super cool...is that for a plane or car?

Hope everyone has a great weekend :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I've been to the "Sparkling City By The Sea" on many occasions on business. Always had fond memories of Corpus. Your posted photos are great; love the Irish coin. My wife and I are headed to Ireland and Scotland in a week for a two week vacation. Will visit her relatives in Donegal. Erin go Bragh!

Blackbeard's! My now ex wife and I used to eat there every time we visited the aquarium, I love their oyster po' boy. I miss Texas greatly, but ya know, all my exes live there :D

Good Sunday morning Guardians. Great photos and posts from everyone:thumbsup::cool:
Was up early and left for dog training yesterday...home late, tired, but content with the day's activities and Dutch's performance.
We are both taking it easy and resting up:thumbsup::)

Preston, while using the "Reply" button (not the "Quote" button), which seems to immediately place a chosen quote into the "reply box" at the bottom of the page, I've lost all the quotes from one page when I switch to another page. :( I've never had page changes affect the quotes generated by using "Quote" button. "Reply" sticks the posts on which you use it into the reply box in the order in which you choose the posts (which is sometimes helpful), while "Quote" apparently keeps an "invisible" list of your chosen posts in the order in which those posts originally occurred and only displays them in the reply box when you hit the "Insert Quotes" button at the bottom of a page.
Thanks, Gary, I'll use 'QUOTE' from now on...appreciate the info.
That Lefever is a beaut!

Thank you Bill, it is really special to me.

Thanks for all your clever and kind comments, Gary.
I don't think I officially stated that I named the rosewood HHB but the post with the Blues Brothers is when I decided that his name is Jake. :D

haha, thanks, Dennis. The horn on your Lambsfoot has some real nice feathering in it.

Peston, those Lace pickups are pretty interesting. Their AlumaTone pickups caught my attention, for sure.
I know what you mean about old VW's in the hills. I had a 67 Westy with a 1600 that let me know its disapproval of going up hill. Here's a model of another "flat" motor with a little more HP than the 1600 that was in my Westy. :D

Juuust long enough to forget how much work it was. ;):D

Thanks Jack, I have been having fun with the Lamb pics lately.

You almost got me with those pics, Greg.

Thanks, Dave. I have been enjoying your pics too. I had no idea that your wife did the paintings.

The Westy would have no trouble with that Boxer 12 in place of the limping four banger. What a great detailed model.

Your HHB is looking good, and being used, Rachel!:)
Thanks!
I'm going to make a confession: When pictures of these Hartsheads first started showing up, I felt a little bit 'meh' about it. The bolster being flat, rather than rounded, seemed odd. I kept thinking that the bolster stamp should have been larger and horizontal rather than vertical. That's how I'm used to seeing bolster stamps, and I have a little o.c.d. about composition and use of space.

Well, just like lots of folks when handling a Lambsfoot for the first time, once I had it in hand, the ergonomics informed the aesthetics. The flat bolster feels nice as a worry stone: I like the way the wood slopes down to meet it. I can't see the pivot pin, but I assume it's located in the plain area of the bolster, so if I ever needed to tap it with a peening hammer I wouldn't mar the stamping. And it feels so solid and tight, I doubt I'll ever have to fix any blade wobble, but maybe in 100 years, someone will.

My point being, I've been carrying it so much my others are getting jealous.
