You kids are looking good!!It's funny how we think of others when certain things arise. Because the restaurant was featuring this Texas iced Tea I instantly thought of you. Of course, if I ever see someone eating a Chip butty? spell? Jack Black will be in my thoughts.

Nice moose Vince! Congrats on the anniversary!![]()
I've been to the "Sparkling City By The Sea" on many occasions on business. Always had fond memories of Corpus. Your posted photos are great; love the Irish coin. My wife and I are headed to Ireland and Scotland in a week for a two week vacation. Will visit her relatives in Donegal. Erin go Bragh!

Congratulations to you and your wife Vince! Grand photo of the newlyweds, nice to put a face with the name!
Time does fly...too fast! My wife and I just had our 33rd March 15th, doesn't seem that ling.![]()
Blackbeard's! My now ex wife and I used to eat there every time we visited the aquarium, I love their oyster po' boy. I miss Texas greatly, but ya know, all my exes live there![]()
Thanks, y'all!Wonderful pic of you two Vince.![]()
Looks good, Jack, but personally I'd be wary of open knives and 10.5% ABV stout on the same table! Not being an emperor myself, I find that imperial stout affects me quickly!
Jack Black Thanks for the nice comments on my knives. A Tinder bag makes more sense.
Here's a quick shot of my old Yankee drill. The original "cordless drill"

Thanks, Jack and GT.
Despite being a freshman as participating in the Guardians thread, I really enjoy all the knife related pictures and information provided by the Seniors here.
Thanks all!!!
Jack Black Thank you Jack. Very nice to see your Waynorth Lamb in what is now its’ natural surroundings. It’s 16 degrees C in your neck of the woods(as I tap this), so heat is no longer a concern.
...
Good Morning Guardians. Wishing you all a fine weekend.

Juuust long enough to forget how much work it was.
Thanks Jack, I have been having fun with the Lamb pics lately.

My son and I were out bow shooting this morning. Nothing wrong with a compound bow, but we both prefer long and recurve bows, as we do traditional knives...
The Hartshead shown sitting on the arrow rest belongs to my son, who also counts Jack as a good friend.

Thought of you and Canada, Dave!
The restaurant was called Blackbeard's, and is on North Beach (part of Corpus Christi near the harbour). I proposed to my wife 28 years ago tonight on North Beach.

Good Sunday morning Guardians. Great photos and posts from everyone
Was up early and left for dog training yesterday...home late, tired, but content with the day's activities and Dutch's performance.
We are both taking it easy and resting up

Thanks, Gary, I'll use 'QUOTE' from now on...appreciate the info.
Thank you Bill, it is really special to me.
The Westy would have no trouble with that Boxer 12 in place of the limping four banger. What a great detailed model.
Thanks!
I'm going to make a confession: When pictures of these Hartsheads first started showing up, I felt a little bit 'meh' about it. The bolster being flat, rather than rounded, seemed odd. I kept thinking that the bolster stamp should have been larger and horizontal rather than vertical. That's how I'm used to seeing bolster stamps, and I have a little o.c.d. about composition and use of space.
Well, just like lots of folks when handling a Lambsfoot for the first time, once I had it in hand, the ergonomics informed the aesthetics. The flat bolster feels nice as a worry stone: I like the way the wood slopes down to meet it. I can't see the pivot pin, but I assume it's located in the plain area of the bolster, so if I ever needed to tap it with a peening hammer I wouldn't mar the stamping. And it feels so solid and tight, I doubt I'll ever have to fix any blade wobble, but maybe in 100 years, someone will.
My point being, I've been carrying it so much my others are getting jealous.

First glance, I thought he was sitting on a commodeThank you my friend.

Used to go after doves on a friends property and I'd carry a .22 with snake loads in it. When one would come straight in and low, I'd pull out that .22 and knock it out of the sky
Fabulous food, drink and Lambsfoot image, Dave.
@Ramrodmb Thank you Mark. Your in garden image beautiful and well done.
Prester John Wonderful portrait of you and the Mrs., Vince.

Good morning Guardians. Getting ready to take off for a camping trip to one of my favorite places in the world, Tahoe. Truly God's country.
Since I won't be around, I wanted to wish you lot an early Happy Yorkshire Day. In honor of that most important of days, I picked up this book for a bit of light reading.

Some day I hope to find both a vintage lambfoot and cutthroat from this era, in good working condition. I guess I just have to keep at it, the way collectors used to do so in the olden days (i.e., pre-internet).
That's great Jack sounds like you were preoccupied entertaining your guest, my friend.![]()
Jack Black - Thank you Jack. Hope the visit went well, and that you feel more rested, soon.
I can almost taste everything from hereNow I'm hungry..guess I'll have to fix some breakfast
