Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I reviewed 10 pairs of boots for the feature, with my editor at the magazine adding a couple of additional ones - probably part of the reason I suffer so much with my feet now!
I can’t imagine breaking in 10 pairs of boots! By the end of the 1980s I’d had too many bad experiences with off the shelf cemented boots delaminate on me, and so many blister problems, that I went custom. These are Limmer’s, made in a small shop in New Hampshire, that are standard issue for AMC hut crews and NH Fish and Game. The waiting list is quite long, although their stock boots are also excellent.

Yes, they’re crampon compatible.

I thought it was my internet connection! :D Nice bowl, and it shows your Lambsfoot off well

£20 for four radios. Them were the days.

Yeah, I paid £50 apiece the last time I needed some, and that was 15 years ago, and I had to import them from Australia!

Go Knights! I’m starting my first build, in order to bake tomorrow.

:)

Beautiful picture!
I also enjoyed the articles you wrote.
You write really well, no wonder you were so busy.:thumbsup:

Thank you very much John, you are very kind :)

Good Morning Guardians
Spring Break starts today, so no work next week.
Plan on spending time in the shop, it's nice to keep busy doing something I enjoy.

Enjoy your 'break' my friend ;)

That was just for that one feature, and they were all stout winter boots! In retrospect, it's hardly surprising I suffer with me feet now o_O I actually still have some of those boots, but they're too stiff for me to wear now, as I have broken metatarsels on both feet :( Great pair of boots there my friend, you can't beat custom :)

Happy Friday, Guardians!

This one does have its endearing qualities despite its flaws, and I'm gonna give it a fair shake. In all honesty, it has been my go to for marking and scoring my woodworking templates for quite a while, but I haven't given it much love for anything else.

Now, I like Mexican food just a much if not better than the next guy or gal but I just can't manage large bits of food through my mouth - can't swallow them SO, today, for lunch, I opened up a can of Hormel Chili NO Beans and managed to get through about half the bowl. That chili that Jack Jack Black Jack Black made looks delicious but I wouldn't be able to eat the chunks of goodies in it so, I had to settle for this. At least I'm getting better at taking things in through my mouth. At this rate, I hope to be off the feeding tube by the end of April.

Yeah, those basic models are what they are :)

:eek::eek::eek:

;)

Hey, no meat on Friday! (I ate some Spam this morning, having forgot.)

No meat! :D I had some dried soya TVP on top of the cupboard, so I put that in. I have to say it didn't taste a whole lot different to minced meat  Easy to forget what day it is at the moment ;)

Good afternoon, Guardians!

Thanks buddy, it wasn't too bad, most of it went in the freezer :)

Well done Ed, I bet you enjoyed that :)

My Lamb is helping me hang some new blinds in the dining room.:thumbsup:

That's something I need too John, I meant to have it sorted out before summer

... and now I remember why! The blade is so crooked and inconsistently ground I can't get a decent edge along the full length of the blade. A great scoring point is what I've always settled on! Ok, back to Jelly!

I can put up with the cosmetics on those cheap knives, so long as they don't mess the edge/blade up like that o_O Is there anything that can be done with it, or is it unsalvageable? :(
