Very cool Matt :)

Nice! You crank those out pretty quick, John... I guess you have worked with leather in the past, huh? I bought a couple sheets of leather and some cord a few months ago, and my one attempt at making a slip so far was less than stellar... significantly less than stellar!

I bought this about 5 years ago...hasn't been out of the box

Yes, I have extensive experience working with leather. ;)
The stitched slips take about 20 minutes start to finish, and the laced one took me about 45 minutes.

Have you got any plans to fix your Ironwood Lambfoot John @JohnDF? It's too pretty:thumbsup: to keep in semi-storage instead of being able to use it at will. I'd like to see more of it in your posting.:)
The more I inspect it, I think it's just a slightly off pivot pin. I don't think it will do any harm to use it. I'm not going to worry about sending it out. You'll see more of it.:thumbsup:

Wow John!! That looks really nice. So much better without the stamp on that side. Great stitching job too. Aces!!
Yup, no makers stamp on that one. :D

Nice photo, Dan. Looks like the ice is about gone?
Just about gone Dennis :) These pics I took last week and there were still some portions of the this trail with some ice or snow left ( I absentmindedly walked into a patch of ice while talking to my wife and had another "great wipe out" experience lol :)
Now the ice is all gone on the trail but there are some small pockets remaining in some very calm portions of the river,.... we'll see, we are going for a walk in a few minutes and it may all be gone now :thumbsup::thumbsup::)

Good afternoon Guardians :)

Thank you Matt for the kind words ! :)
Carrying my lamb and sharing with the Guardians some of what I see while on our walks has helped me be more aware of the gifts of nature around me.

That's quite a change Dan, beautiful photos though :)
Yes, the ice has pretty much disappeared ... and quite fast this year !
Now,... last year we had a major snow storm at Easter time so we are hesitant to celebrate too much the coming of warmer weather in case old man winter hears us

I did manage on today's walk to find some ice for @mitch4ging who was asking about it :D
