edit: oops I did not include my lamb in the shot :(

Looks good. I'd bet peanut butter would be good on that.

I wish your back feels better soon Jack !!!

I am also going to carry my Hartshead to send my good wishes !

Here is one of Jack's favorite pics :)
The masked bandit of the forest also sends his best wishes

Many thanks Dan, that's very kind of you, and thanks for posting one of my favourite photos, it always brings a smile to my face my friend :)

Getting ready for another round of bumpy weather here in the south. Hope everyone stays safe.

Hope it's a lot smoother than last time, and that everyone stays safe

Very nice example of Jack's Jack Black Jack Black SFO Hartshead.:) I believe the blade steel is C70. Jack can say for sure if he runs across this post.

Thanks Ed, yes, it's C70 :)

I agree with dude. My RALF was quite slow to patina, but once started, he went all out!

Same steel, but the polishing makes a big difference in terms of how those blades patina Jeff. They don't take on patina as quickly as the unpolished blades, but once they do, you get all sorts of interesting colours

Ahhh but patina they do. Even the iron bolster on this Rosewood covered HHB is starting to patina while the blade etch is slowly being consumed by patina too.

Yes indeed (nice photo Ed), the bolsters are also C70. The lack of HT may affect the way they patina (I don't know), but as you say Ed, patina they most certainly will :) I hope the etch will survive ;)

Going outside my comfort zone.

Happy Saturday, Guardians! It's been a long busy week with work, so I'm hopelessly behind on this thread. I'll try to go back through later today... apologies in advance if I don't hit all the posts I've missed!

Jelly and I did a lot of work in the yard today, but were very honored to receive this quite prestigious honor upon completion!

Not my yard pictured above, but if you can imagine something about 1 percent as large, with one tree, and covered with lots of pretty dandelions and clover, then you'll get the idea!

That picture is best when you have to scroll to see it all.
:D

and that pic from the Daily Mail is hilarious! :D :)
Thank you Jack. Your Hartshead at the mouth of the wooden opening is mighty nice. Here’s to your back woes clearing up soonest. Cheers!

Good Afternoon Guardians. Be Well.

Back around 1978 I went to the Wurstfest in New Braunfels and tasted some original Shiner beer. I thought it was awful. Years later when Shiner Bock came out I couldn’t believe how good it was. Quite a surprise.

Hope it's a lot smoother than last time, and that everyone stays safe

Thanks Jack, I believe we are just out on the upper edge of it but I am hoping everyone else gets a break this time. Take care with your back.
