Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I’ve got that exact same percolator. I got it from my mother. She probably got it in the 50’s. It’s a Revere Ware with Copper Clad bottom. They made a whole line of pots, pans and skillets like that. I used it for years on a Coleman stove while camping. They work best with course ground coffee. They used to have what was called Percolator Grind. This was all before the introduction of Mr. Coffee in 1972. And as they say, the rest is history! ;) Here’s a Lambsfoot! :D

Great skinny Ron :) And a great-looking Lambsfoot of course :)

I do. Not only did Charlie save me from the lolly scramble, he brought to life a knife I had long dreamt of. Thanks Charlie! @waynorth

How're you doing Ed? :)

A fine pair. Do you prefer one more than the other?

I think they're both gorgeous Christian, but the jigged bone, I think, is among the finest GEC have ever done :)

I've still got a long way to go but I'm improving every day.:) I've got a date with an Ear, Nose, Throat specialist mid-May and hopefully will shed the feeding tube that day:thumbsup:.

I hope it goes quickly Ed, you're doing incredibly  I think Tube Day will be something for all of us to celebrate my friend

I basically use a Keurig for 90% of my coffee, but I use a Melitta cone filter quite often. Pam is not a coffee drinker so I like the single cup methods the best. Love the Ebony big’un! :)

Their factory store, and probably factory, were in Rome NY. They had a huge sign of incandescent bulbs alternating between the stretched and gathered stages of a horse's gallop (colonial horseman attached).

The percolator is an estate sale replacement. The saucepans go back farther than I remember.

(Maybe that horse was always stretched out, and just rocked between head down and heels down.)

Thanks Jack! ;) I’m glad someone brought up a subject that I actually knew something about! They really are beautiful knives, those Waynorth Cutlery Real Lambsfoot knives! :D

Those are exactly the ones I was talking about. Stainless with the copper clad bottom. We’ve got them stored away. They’ve been replaced with all these modern Non Stick type pans! :)

I'm glad you were OK :) Mattress aside! I used to know a Jamaican feller in Sheffield back in the 80's. Unusually, he was a very timid and nervous character. Air flights were still expensive then, and he hadn't been back to Jamaica since he came over to Britain as a young man. He managed to save up enough money to go and see his old mother, who still lived there, but ran smack into Hurricane Gilbert, and spent 2 weeks terrified in a cellar, losing all his luggage! There was a happy ending though, he found out he still had a lot of relatives in Jamaica, the price of flights started to drop, and he was able to go back and visit his mom several more times :)

Glad it eventually worked out well for him. I am sure he wished he hadn’t made that particular trip though! Sure are a lot of beautiful knives popping up on here today.

The Keurig style is tempting for single cup brewing. I usually make a whole pot at a time, and will drink it over the course of a few days, heating a cupful at a time in the microwave. For I am a lazy barbarian. :D

Thanks, maybe I should rotate more, but lately the ebony just feels right. Since I usually carry a small penknife with it, the larger Lambfoot is there for any big cutting.

I do the same thing, I make a full pot and drink it throughout the day. I just turn the gas back on the stove and re-heat the pot.

love your Albert Oates :)
Thank you Jack. Looks like you’re hanging in there.cheers!

Have your photos featured fewer baked goods since stay-at-home orders arrived? Has your favorite bakery shut down completely?
Here in the Land of Lincoln, Food retail is scrambling to convert to delivery or curbside pickup. I try to not leave the friendly confines.

This week for me, it's Union Jack, my rosewood lambsfoot:
I salute your Union Jack, GT.

Good Afternoon Guardians. Here’s to Earth Day!
