Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians ! :)

Hey Chuck :)
What is your lamb resting on ?
Inquiring minds want to know :)
Hi Dan, The Lamb is resting on a bed of polypropylene pellets used in injection molding. the place I work for is a Custom Compounder of Polypropylene, we take virgin material and add minerals and/or fiber glass to meet specification requested by our customers, we also do custom colors. this lot that I'm testing is going to a molder of medical devices.

I really need to find someplace local that sells those small pies.:thumbsup:

You know John, knowing how hard it is to find pork pies in the US you may be better off just making your own.
I keep meaning to do this one, as pork pies have become a bit scarce round here at the mo' as not all butchers have been making as many as they normally would be doing (flour shortage?).

 :D
Thanks for the compliment David! :) Great photos!

Your welcome.

Well, at least there'll be no danger of getting mugged by the locals! About 25 years ago, a German hot-air balloonist made the mistake of descending round there to ask directions, he'd have been safer coming down in Sarajevo or Beirut!

Poor sod, I hope he made it out alive.
Reminds me when I rode the Transpennine Trail a couple of summers ago. It's supposedly one of our premier tourist routes so why does it take you through the heart of...I think it's Parson's Cross. I turn the corner and almost ride straight into a mini riot with the obligatory cars alight, about 20 Marias and what looked like a street wide drugs raid.

Here's a photo of VE Day celebrations on Bath Street in Sheffield, where J.Howarth were based. My grandparents lived on Bath St, and my mother may be in the photo (no men on the photo as they were all off fighting).

Great pictures Jack, my mum would of been about the age of those kids at the table in 1945.
Good looking Needham and Howarth lambsfoots to.

VE Day today obviously.

Your Needham is a gem which also brings along a great history lesson! :)

A great bit of history Jack! Thanks for the pictures my friend! :)

Thanks a lot Ron :)

Nice two blade Lamb, Jack.:thumbsup:

Thank you John :)

Good Morning Guardians
My new Ebony getting acquainted with my Rosewood.
This may be the start of a beautiful friendship or a heated rivalry.

Great to see those two together John :)

Good morning Guardians! :) A new indoor photo, this one was just recently nicknamed “Stan”. In honor of Jacks friend Stan Shaw! I wonder what Stan was doing on the first VE Day? ;) :D

Stan is looking swell Ron, I imagine the other Stan was busy celebrating 75 years ago, he was still just a young feller then :) When I was a kid, a lot of houses still had 'V' or 'VE' painted on the brickwork outside (a few with 'VJ' too)

Good morning, Guardians!

It's Friday: took the day off, got paid, getting a haircut in a little while, and then buying a handle of bourbon. Maybe some sweet vermouth for a Manhattan or two.

Have a great day!

Exciting stuff Vince, sounds like a great day :)

Wound Care Day again today. Yippee!!!

I've made lots of meat pies in the past, but I'm not sure I've ever made a pork pie.

Poor sod, I hope he made it out alive.

Only just, poor bloke, he was stabbed in the throat with a broken bottle by some junkie, robbed, and left for dead :eek Yep, that's Parson's Cross! Sometimes, I don't think much consideration gets given to these routes o_O

Jack, I like the "Women of Steel". Here, across the pond we had Rosie the riveter. Also, across the pond is my HHB...one of many I suspect.

Happy Friday, Taylor!

How long do we have to wait for the cantaloupe patina picture? :D

Found some time to bake today. Shelter-in-place Sourdough Loaf #6:

YGuC1beh.jpg

Have a fantastic weekend, Guardians.

Wow !!! Nice Greg  :) Round and tall !
Did you "cold proof" the dough overnight ?

This bowl almost became a "sour-bowl" lol
I got a nasty catch that send it flying off the lathe and broke the tenon used to hold it.
I am happy I was able to remount it and finish it.
( wait .... sour dough is a very good thing actually ... OK, forget about the sour-bowl metaphor :D )
