Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

My problem with camping now is that I have to get up about every two hours, and sometimes the latrine is FAR away from the tent. Also, my wife blames me for breaking a tent door zipper, accusing me of being impatient. :p

I'm sure your wife would have complained more if you hadn't got out of the tent fast enough! :D ;)
Beat me to it.

Bill, that's a beauty. I know exactly how you feel, can't put my finger on it, but this knife just speaks to me. My eldest daughter pointed to my small collection last night, which includes a couple nice and rare GECs, and asked me which was my favorite. There was no hesitation, the HHB. She agreed :D I have three children to split my knives between when they're older, but I think this one has her name on it. Here's mine with some yummy beef tips and mashed potatoes.

Great photo of your HHB. Your stag has great character. I'll take an order of those beef tips please.:D

Best line in a movie ever.:thumbsup:
No way! Best line was: "Dying ain't much of a living, boy." (Josey Wales) Or was it: "When I drink whiskey, I drink whiskey, and when I drink water, I drink water." (Quiet Man) Or was it: "Leave the gun, take the cannoli." (Godfather) Or maybe: "Do ya feel lucky, punk?" (Dirty Harry) Or: "They come in pints?!"
(Lord of the Rings) Or: "What we got here is failure to communicate." (Cool Hand Luke)
:p:D;)

Redrum! Redrum!

That Schwinn bike light is a pretty good deep red, and the old one with the c-cell batteries isn't too far off. I'll keep an eye peeled for red LED Christmas lights.
I've just been hearing about red light therapy for the eyes. I find that easier to believe than the claims for skin, which were news to me also. (Either BBC News or scitechdaily.)
Hey! Maybe red light will grow my hair back!

Thanks for getting me straight on the wood Ron:) since I don't know diddly about wood I'm going with bark on wooden Wednesday;)

No offense meant Rob! With stag like that beautiful Thompson you don't really need to know about wood! :)

I may have saved it, I'll have to check. Some old covers I save if they are in serviceable shape when I remove them. If they get damaged during dis-assembly, then they get tossed.
Thanks for checking Glenn! If you find it drop me a PM and I'll PayPal you some postage money! :)

Still, the Rorschach quote is best, but the Whales quote comes close.
Also... "It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. You take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have." (My favorite movie of all time).

So close to God's Country.:thumbsup:
We are heading up to God's Country in a couple of weeks... mccloud.:thumbsup:

Another good one, said by Hank Worden's character after John Wayne's character has read from the Bible over a fresh grave in Red River: "Planting and reading, planting and reading....why is it when you kill a man, you gotta bring in the Lord as a partner on the job?"

I-5 has one way traffic each way at Redding with up to 75-minute delays. Take 36 East out of Red Bluff to 89 and then 89 North to McCloud. Beautiful drive all the way once on 36

Don't forget to take a Lambfoot.

My wife loves cabin camping... I enjoy it too as long as it's mixed with isolation.

Best line in a movie ever.:thumbsup:

Nothing worse than camping next to strangers  I have mostly camped with lightweight tents, OK in good weather, but the last time I camped in a period of prolonged bad weather, it took me a week to physically recover! :D

When the movie premiered here, just before it started, a guy slipped in in full Rorschach costume, and sat over in the corner of the theatre! :D

Beat me to it.

:D

Every day I wake up I'm camping.

LOL! :D There's a guy who lives at the bottom of my street, and when I first lived here, he bent my ear for 2 hours solid, telling me about red light therapy. He has terrible eyesight, and refuses to wear glasses, so now I slip past on the other side of the street without him seeing me! :D

Sorry for subjecting you to that folks, just to try and get a laugh

Now all of a sudden Jack Jack Black Jack Black wants to play Rosewood Covers. Here are mine - have no idea which is which Rosewood but here they are.

I'm with you buddy, I saw Deliverance at the cinema, and the whole audience were cheering! :D   It wasn't in the movie, or even in the comics I don't think, but I had a publicity leaflet for Watchmen, which had a Rorschach saying: "If only the scum of the earth had one throat, and I had my hand around it!" Hardcore! :D

We are heading up to God's Country in a couple of weeks...

You're coming to Yorkshire??!!! :D :p ;)

Thanks for the heads up, ED. We enjoy the route better anyways.:thumbsup:

It will be in my pocket, as usual... So I'd have to forget to wear pants. :D

Who watches the Watchmen? ;)

You're coming to Yorkshire??!!!
Maybe some day, if I ever get over my insane fear of flying.

Sorry to hear about that John, I have a pal who is frightened of flying. It doesn't stop his missus booking them overseas holidays though! I used to know a guy years ago, a well-known author and mountaineer now, who had a terrible fear of flying. He'd climbed some of the world's highest peaks, but was actually scared of heights too! He would always have to go overland, except when going to climb McKinley, when he flew, but spent most of the flight throwing up in the toilet! I don't know if he ever got over it, haven't seen him in 20 years, but my pal found hypnosis has helped - before that he either took Valium, got drunk, or both!

I am planning to get up early tomorrow, and walk down to the market in town, hang out with my pals there for a few hours, get a bit of shopping, and hopefully catch a couple of mail deliveries when I get back  Hope everyone has a good day, and I'll catch up with y'all sometime tomorrow, when I'll be carrying my Hartshead Barlow again

I heard about the lockdown mate, sorry to hear that, I hope things round soon

Good Morning Guardians, it's taken me a while to get online again this morning, still having post-update PC problems o_O Hope everyone is doing OK. The weather is rotten again here, hope it's going to clear up for the weekend, we had better weather in March o_O Thought I'd go with my Rosewood Big 'Un for Wooden Wednesday. Have a good day Guardians

Mate, thanks for the comment and your concern. But i'm completely unfazed by the lockdown, i am used to it and we have escaped this virus fairly unscathed in the scheme of things. After all the terrible scenes i have seen from your country and around the world, i feel so lucky and blessed. As humans we are good at adapting, so back in March when we went into our first lockdown i just changed everything i did to fit the circumstances, i have kept doing the same things after lockdown finished anticipating another lockdown. So nothing has or will change for me until we have more clarity to as what will happen, and that may take a while. Thanks for your thoughts though, means a lot mate, and you take care and look after yourself and family, and i hope your weather improves, won't be long before your into winter.
