Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

This software is becoming very irksome - almost not worth using it on the mobile.

I had some quotes and it appears that I've lost them. I'll need to rectify that on the morrow.

A recycled pic for now. I haven't added any new ones to the flock this year - plenty of things that seem to be throwing wrenches into such aspirations.

Happy Wednesday, Guardians.

Impressive flock Dylan! :)

I took a look last night. I thought I had them, but it was a different pair. I'll look again, but if they were that warped, I probably chucked them.
No problem Glenn. I should have asked sooner. I appreciate you my friend! :)

Good Afternoon Guardians, just coming up to 1pm here, and I came back early from the market to try and intercept my parcel deliveries. Got the first one, and I'm hoping the others will be here soon :) It rained all night here, heavily, and right through until lunchtime. It's eased off a bit now, but still drizzling. Not sure when summer is going to start  Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Good luck with the rest of your deliveries Jack. Hope you day turns bright and sunny before it's over! That's a great photo of your Hartshead! It shows the stag very well in the light! :)

No, not at all :) More expensive were the liquorice toffees I bought at the same time, which have just cost me a dental crown o_O
That sucks Jack! :( I had that very thing happen to me with a Werthers Soft Toffee. I love those things but no more! :(

Oh No...
That's too bad. :(

Thanks mate  My own stupid fault for eating toffee really, though I did bite down a bit hard in relation to a post here o_O It's right at the back, and a very simple crown, so I might leave it for a while if it doesn't hurt. The dentists have only just started re-opening here, and I think there's a long waiting list o_O I do like the taste of those liquorice toffees, but you can practically feel them sucking the teeth out of your head!

Sorry to hear that Jack. I've had the same thing happen to me whilst eating a Mary Jane candy. No more sticky candies for me but eventually all my crowns with be replaced with implants:thumbsup:

Sorry to hear that John, at least you live in a beautiful country, where there plenty of travel options, which don't involve flying

Thank you my friend, the weather is still lousy, but I did manage to find some jelly babies for you (two different sizes)! :D

Thanks a lot pal, that's a very sensible attitude :) 45,000 deaths here, and I think that could double, or worse, by the time things are over :(

Les, many years ago, I posted a Lambsfoot thread, which ended up being hijacked by discussions about other patterns. For that reason, as I thought you were aware, I have sought to keep the discussion of other knives to an absolute minimum. Since your question has nothing to do with Lambsfoot knives, it doesn't belong here, and I would appreciate it if you would edit/delete your post. If you would like to start a thread about your knife, preferably with photos, I will provide an answer there, if I can.

Cool background John

Great to see some more African Rosewood :)

Looking good Taylor, good to see a Lambsfoot that's seen plenty of honest use :)

Magical :)

Sorry to hear about the quotes Dylan :( Wow! What an incredible collection you have, each one a superb example of the pattern I think  Fabulous photo my friend :)

Nice photo of your HHB Jack. The stag looks toasted! I like it:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: Sorry for the lousy weather you are having but I can identify with it:rolleyes:

Thanks Bill, good move. If I had some dental cement, I'd stick it back in myself. My dentist, of 30-odd years, retired a couple of years ago, and I've struggled to find a decent one since o_O

Thank you, it certainly didn't get toasted the past couple of weeks! Hope you get some better weather there soon Bill :)

Back to the knives! ;) I'm not yet carrying a Lambsfoot today, (Hope I don't get excommunicated)! I have a feeling this wee Sambar just might make the pocket later in the day, so I took a fresh photo this morning! ;) Y'all stay safe and have a great day! :)

That's a nice clean pic Ron, I can hear it begging to be carried! :D ;)

Thank you Ron, and sorry I missed this before. I'm not sure what is happening with the mail, I received a courier package, but the Royal Mail haven't delivered for two days now o_O

For now, a quiet morning in the garden.

Your ebony looks exquisite, enhanced by eggplant!:thumbsup::cool:

Morning Guardians! This is a special post for me, on Thursday I received my first ever lambsfoot, and boy is it a special one.
...
Fourth of July celebartions won't be the same this year, but with three young kids, we've usually got them in bed before the sun goes down and are annoyed by all the bangs keeping them awake anyways.
...
Congrats on acquiring that handsome stag Hartshead Barlow!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
I can relate to your kids being awakened by fireworks. ;) One of our two dogs is especially bothered by the noise, so the past month or more (starting before Memorial Day and running at least through Independence Day) have been pretty rough on him, with fireworks going off almost every night. My wife even has a prescription for sedatives for that dog that she gives him starting July 1 or 2. :(

Thanks Gary! Looks like Cracker Jack is enjoying the easy living my friend! :)
...
A great photo of Cracker Jack! :)
Thanks, Ron.:)

...
Thank you GT. The bolster is brass. Just add a dot com. It’s very good. As healthy as that sort of thing goes.
...
Another great shot of Cracker Jack.

Harvey, thanks for the info on the knife and the beef sticks and for the CJ compliment. :)
Your SamDamLamb is looking very senatorial!:cool::thumbsup:

...
I think it might be a first for me too Gary! :D Though, one year, I ran a bar at a very large party (multi-day, several hundred people) for several friends who were 40 that year. Some fool had the idea that we should save a whole barrel of a very good locally-brewed stout, and several bottles of good port, to have as the "Breakfast of Champions" on the last day. They should have made the idiot pay for it because he didn't have a single glass, and neither did anyone else, as they were all hungover o_O

Very different, for the moment at least, Gary

It's a terrible tragedy my friend :(

Looks good Gary

Sounds like quite a birthday bash, Jack!;)
Thanks for the pics of the magic bus, live at Leeds. It's about what I expected. I hope we'll eventually be able to take some offensive measures against this coronavirus, in addition to simply defending ourselves.
Thanks, Jack. :)

That deluxe WCLF is traveling in style!:cool::thumbsup:

Like several other Guardians, I thought today would be a good day for an American-made Lambsfoot.

Hope y’all have a nice 4th and a great weekend!

Great pics, Barrett!:cool::cool: How's Eleanor adjusting to having a sibling? Is she anxious for the baby to become a better playmate? ;)

Just a couple of miles up the road from where I live, the city of Leeds melts into the countryside. Soon after the fields and woods appear, a vast tract of privately-owned land is encountered, enormous by British standards, which is the Harewood Estate. Most of the land in England is criss-crossed by ancient field-paths and trackways, which are historic 'Rights of Way', but Harewood has very few public footpaths, possibly because it has been in the ownership of the same family so long, though like many British country estates, it has 'charitable status' (tax relief). Since access is so limited, many local people perhaps fail to appreciate just how huge the estate is, but you can pay £15 to go and have a look at the big house. There is only really one public footpath of note, around the outskirts of the estate, with patrols, CCTV cameras, and signage to keep visitors on the 'straight and narrow'. I made sure to tug my forelock as I went through the big gates
...
Passing close to the ancient boundary wall, this is the entrance to the apiary.

Great photos of your hike through the Harewood Estate, Jack, including the opening shot of your Charlie Lamb!:thumbsup::cool:
Are the carved stones around the apiary entrance intended to be representations of honeycombs?

Cool reminder that those babies don't have to be babied, ED! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks guys. :)
Usually when our dog reaches about 10 years old, we start searching for a replacement.
Gives the new pup a chance to grow up a bit and learn from the old guy, before... you know.
That's a good plan, John! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you GT :)
Happy belated Fourth of July

Absolutely incredible Dan, thanks for the link  The feats of engineering are indeed something to be marvelled at, and those navvies certainly got stuck in! Not far from where I live is this Five-Rise Lock, which always amazes me :)

Dan, thanks for the holiday greetings, and Jack, that photo of your stag HHB is outstanding!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Thanks to both of you for the photos of the locks. :) We take our summer vacation about 30 miles from the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, connecting Lake Superior to Lake Huron, and it's fascinating to see a 1000' ore freighter pass through the locks!

My 2017 Guardians horn knife, aka Lam Jack, is in my pocket this week:

Wound Care morning today. They changed it from Tuesday to Monday. Maybe they think it'll make it feel better - yeah right. Buffalo Horn covers on this knife. By the time I get out of Wound Care, it'll feel like I've been run over by a buffalo.:(

8ytuCgh.jpg
What do they do to you at Wound Care to make a tough old bird like you despise it so much, ED??:( Hang in there one visit at a time, I guess!:thumbsup:

Is it Monday already?!:(

I’m carrying big Rosie today! ;) Hope y’all have a great day! :)

Rosie is a rip-snorter, Ron! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Took my Boy for his driving test today.
Took along my favorite Rosewood Lamb for luck.
Must have worked... He passed!!! :)...
Congrats to your son, John! ;)
(Does this have negative implications for your car insurance premiums?)

Beauty, José! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the lovely lunar shot, Dan!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you so much, Gary! It would be hard pressed for me to choose between Ironwood and Ebony. Jack Black Jack Black did an outstanding job riding shotgun on these knives! I need to pick up an ebony hafted one soon.

No problems Jack! I quoted this one and had to requote it! Jack that's one thing that I can say has been flawless during this pandemic! All my deliveries and regular mail service have been 100%. Credit to the services for maintaining great service. I've had several deliveries from UPS, FEDEX and of course daily USPS with absolutely no problems. :)

Sounds like quite a birthday bash, Jack!;)

Thanks, Jack. :)

It certainly was Gary, it took about a week to set up. It was in a beautiful location, owned by a rich lady who had been married to some famous film producer, but there was a lot of work to do. It's when I injured the tendon in my right elbow, which has been bothering me so much recently. When we were setting up, I did a lot of the cooking, and remember that I was the only person on the site with a knife o_O Fortunately I had a few ;)

I hope so too, maybe we need Slim Whitman! ;)

Thanks for the tunes buddy
