Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice story Dan, I bet you made his day :) I hope you showed him your Lambsfoot ;)

He is an incredible fellow.
It's likely that he saw the pattern during his service.
I'll see if I can show him my lambsfoot next time and asking him, why not ?

I can't help but to reflect on the timing of my visit .... sitting down with this old soldier during the season of peace.
Such a gentle and caring soul !

Despite the masks and sitting at a distance we connected, talked, shared stories .
I wanted to stay longer and I am sure he wanted that too.

That's one of my gifts this season
Hope I get to meet him again in the new year

Cool pic Gary :D

Sour beer?:eek::eek: Don't think I could do that!

This one isn't really sour Vince, except in the sense that sour cherries aren't sweet. It quite reminds me of blackberries

Good morning Guardians, we're having our alternative Christmas Day round at Grumble Towers today. I'm still struggling I'm afraid, and not looking forward to getting stuff in and out of the oven  Nationally, we've more virus strains, rocketing infections, more of the country going into stricter lockdown, thousands of delivery lorries trying to get in and out of the country, and now flooding (though not in my area)! But, hey, it's Christmas Eve, Santa is on the way, and I hear he's torn up the 'naughty list' this year. So have a good one Guardians, I hope you get to spend time with your loved ones. Raise a glass to the memory of our deer departed friend Ron, and keep your Lambsfoot close at hand

Hey Guardians, I think I have too much time on my hands when I start posting videos of my cat and dog

Lambsfoot content: to the right of that couch is my desk and right above my desk is a little shelf where I keep my lambs ;):D

Very cute Dan :D

Just want to wish all Guardians a Merry and Safe Christmas. I will be offline tomorrow, so hope you all have a good day and please everyone take care. Sorry to hear of your predicament Jack, you are going through a rough trot, i have had to spend a few Christmas days on my own because of circumstances and the first one wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, but jeez i got nice and Adrians:eek::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D. So all have a good day.;).

Thanks Leon, the same to you my friend, have a very Merry Christmas  I can definitely see Brahms in my near future ;)

A friend once told me that, with my luck, if I'd been a horse, I'd have been shot years ago! :D ;)

That could still be arranged if you like. :D:thumbsup:

Yesterday's walk.
My ironwood, as I've lost my HHB in the house somewhere.
I hope everyone's Christmas Eve is busy hectic and fun.

Yes, me too.
Technically I am supposed to see him again in 6 months according to our guidelines at work.
I tweaked the guidelines so I will see him again much sooner than that.
He is 95, got wounded just before the end of the war. That would make him 19 years old at that time.
Considering the time from enlisting and training he was probably 17 when he joined .... my daughter's age ... wow.

The flock :)

Wishing you all the best this Christmas season Jack. I hope for a healthy and happy new year for you and yours.:D I do not remember how or when exactly that I got drawn in to the Guardians "culture" but it has steadily grown on me. I may never meet any of those people whom with I have corresponded but I continue to enjoy it. I used to think that the things I have bring me joy but really it's the interpersonal relationships that I treasure and the many kindnesses that I have received. Thank you for all those treasures that you have shared with me. I will never forget it.:) Hoping that your ailing back feels better soon.

Merry Christmas Guardians and all. I am so happy that my youngest child is able to visit us during this holiday season. My other two could not make the trip but we are thinking of them and I'm sure we will "see" them on Face Time.
To all, Have a "Cool Yule and a Frantic First".:D:D:D
