An absolute classic :)

You got an interesting selection in your beer advent calendar Dylan, great photo there

I was walking back from the post office the other day, when I stopped to speak to a gentleman coming the other way. He started to tell me about his various ailments, most of which I could relate to directly. The conversation went on for quite a while, and I was just breaking away, when a young man came along, and said hello to us both. I told him, "We're just two old men moaning about our aches and pains." He laughed like anything :D

I have a beer delivery coming myself today, which is going to be interesting

Nice seasonal photo Gary :)

One of my favourite pics :)

Oops! :D

Strong pain-killers are strictly controlled here, and you need to see a doctor to get a prescription (good luck with that at the moment o_O). I have
tried a lot of them over the years, but most commonly take 30mg co-codomol, and diclofenac when appropriate

Good morning Guardians, sorry to you young fellers (like Vince), having to put up with all this bad back belly-aching! I'm doing my best to avoid sitting at my desk today, so posting on my phone. Have a good day Guardians, take care out there :)

Jack, your WCLF is excellent. As for your back...well...not so excellent:thumbsdown: But those pain killers sure help:thumbsup:. I have used Tramadol too;). As we age things go wrong (just like a car) and then they either get fixed or we learn to live with it. My dear old Dad used to tell me "Getting old aint for cowards".:D However true that may be, I'm sure glad that there is such a fine selection of pain killers out there on the market:thumbsup:.

Good Morning Guardians and all. Beautiful morning today but there was a hard frost do many of our fair weather plants took a hit. I'll be trimming a few frozen flowers this morning with the help of my HHB.

Thanks a lot Bill, your Hartshead Barlow looks better and better :)

A friend once told me that, with my luck, if I'd been a horse, I'd have been shot years ago! :D ;)

Good morning Guardians,
We’re almost ready here for Christmas. Slight chance of some snow here in Atlanta for Christmas....quite a rare occurrence if it happen.
I know I’m a day or so early, but it’s about to get hectic around here with some family arriving tomorrow. So I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Healthy, COVIDFree, Back to Normal New Year.
I’ll have the Lambsfoot at the ready, expecting plenty to tape, ribbon and box cutting :DA2152A45-C63B-4D58-B9A3-F4B7E7F5CE5C.jpeg

A bit hectic here at Grumble Towers tonight too George, I've had 6 visitors in the last couple of hours. Unfortunately, only one of them could come in, so we had to exchange cards and gifts on the door-step. I hope you and your family have a very Happy Christmas, and that you enjoy using your Lambsfoot :)

Thanks Jack, it was very good (in my opinion of course).

It sure looked it :)

Just came back from a home assessment of and old WW2 vet.

I had met him before covid and we had started all the paperwork for admission into a nursing home. An offer came and he refused it as he felt he can still manage at home.

When my team assistant called to book the telephone reassessment he insisted it had to be face to face due to his impaired hearing.

He was so happy to see me, I am so humbled. He remembered my interest in his war time service, being wounded at the end of ww2 etc.

"I have something for you" he told me, and handed me this magazine from 2014 about both world wars.
He told me a few more stories about the war, how he got wounded, stories about other soldiers.

I promised him to visit him again in a couple months and he was so happy.

I will treasure his stories and this magazine till the end of time.

That sounds like the start to a merry Christmas, Jack! :D

LOL! :D I didn't really need it Barrett, I have a huge amount of beer (and wine, and whisky) stockpiled already, but I've been trying to help out some friends who own a small brewery, and have had a difficult year. Another £150's worth of beer!  I gave their little lad a wrist compass, and he was SO pleased with it! :D
