Sorry Leon, I just noticed I managed to drop your quoteGood evening Guardians, hope you all have a good and safe weekend, especially those in England, re-opening everything does not sound like a good move to me, but what would i know. Had to get us back onto page one. With all the photos of the tools from Jack's mates tool stall, had these out to do some tinkering, and had to post. These are a throw back to past glory days when we actually made things. You cannot but these anymore, you can get the drill bits, but not made here. Did some color scheming with Charlie's Lambsfoot. Have a good one.

It sure will Jack. My wife can always tell when I’m breaking in a new carbon knife because I volunteer to cut up the vegetables! That's going to look even better Todd![]()
Back from my hike, will try to post some pics tomorrow

Stick it is a tomato, leave it for 5 - 10 minutes then wipe it dry. Don't leave it with the tomato juice on it, make sure you wipe dry after you pull it out.when I’m breaking in a new carbon knife
Looking at those 3 razor sharp minds, i am wondering who paid for the round. It's Yorkshire Day on August 1st, and I usually do a giveawayJust wondering if I can do one this year

In the unlikely event that you've never heard of Yorkshire Day, it's a bit like US Independence Day, but on a slightly smaller scale

Old Tip, turn it on 1 hour before you put anything in it.MAKE SURE YOUR OVEN IS HOT!
I’ve never eaten a chip bitty or Yorkshire pudding; this is going to be a real treat! What a fun giveaway, Jack!Ok folks, I managed to find a prize for a Yorkshire Day giveaway. I didn't even know I had this one, it was still wrapped from the factory, probably from 3 or 4 years ago, got some nice Rosewood on it I think

Those Guardians who've been here a while will know that Yorkshire Day is celebrated throughout the world, and is the day when Yorkshire folk unlucky enough to have left this sun-kissed county, weep into their beer and pine for home, and where those of us blessed to live in God's Own County, whoop with joy, throw our flat-caps into the air, and sing our largely unintelligible anthem to the heavens, while downing a good Yorkshire-brewed pint!I hope you'll help me celebrate, and while it isn't unique to Yorkshire, what could be better than a chip butty, or for the ambitious, a thick slab of Yorkshire pudding, smothered in rich gravy?
This is a culinary challenge my friends, and I don't think there are going to be any losers here
I'm posting this early, so you can look up your recipes, and get in the few provisions needed, but on Yorkshire Day, how about joining me in scoffing a chip butty or a plate of Yorkshire pud. The chip butty is certainly the easier dish to make, and maybe you can even get one made for you at a local eaterie. Yorkshire pudding is a bit of an art, and all I'll say is, MAKE SURE YOUR OVEN IS HOT!
Whichever option you decide to go for, a photo of the dish with your Lambsfoot is essential (if you don't have a Lambsfoot, you can post a selfie, but no non-Lamb knife content please). If you're lucky enough to already have a surfeit of Lambsfoot knives, you may nominate someone else for the prize
Yorkshire Day is August 1st, next Sunday, and you have the whole of next weekend to make your entry. Good luck to everyone who enters, and I am looking forward to seeing your photos![]()

Thanks Bill, that pint went down pretty fast, as did the next oneWonderful photos from your stroll Jack.I really enjoy them. Some interesting pathways indeed - the wild life and old architecture are captivating.
That pint looks pretty refreshing too. Your HHB pile side stag is gnarly!

Anybody can heat fries, and make a sandwich Bill! Not much of a cook (I'm a disaster in the kitchen) I'm afraid so I guess I won't enter the give away but it's fun to hear about Yorkshire Day.
Looks to be a fine knife; best of luck to all the entrants.

Great project and pics buddySunday is shaping up nicely. Coming to completion of a hand rubbed finish on my gunstock.Working with Napier's London Oil and once I learned how to use it, was a pleasure.
This stuff is used by gunsmiths around the world on the finest rifles and shotguns and now I see why. My HHB has kept me company though out the process too!

I only came across that a couple of years ago myself GaryThanks for another generous Yorkshire Day GAW, Jack! I love these Porch traditions!
Believe it or not, the news of your GAW had me googling "Yorkshire mathematicians", but somehow I got sidetracked and found this lovely ballad that I thought might help inspire Guardians to participate in the Yorkshire Day festivities.
