Thanks Harvey. The Senator is a very nice sized Lambsfoot knife and very easy to carry in my jeans pocket. I'll need to get a slip for it because I know that I'll be carrying it often.“To Market To Market.”
Congrats Bill. i love the look of that Senator.
Thanks a lot John, the weather has been absolutely rotten today, but we still had a good laughHave a good time at the Market, Jack.
Thanks Greg, it's been pretty nasty, but not as bad as in Scotland, where they recorded gusts of over 101mph (at around 3000ft) last nightYikes! Hang in there, Jack. At least you look well stocked for pie.![]()
Have a great time BillGood morning Guardians, another beautiful day here in southern coastal NC. Going out to play golf at a Scottish links style Course; Castle Bay. Very interesting course and very difficult.
I have my Jack Black SFO Ironwood today.

The Boy is back!
Glad you had a good day at the market Jack. We are traveling so I don’t have a Lambsfoot to post (it’s in my bag) but here are those pictures of my grandfather. In the bottom photo he is the one on the right in the white shirt, he was such a character, and to a young boy, he was larger than life. Thanks a lot John, the weather has been absolutely rotten today, but we still had a good laugh![]()

Have a great time BillNice pic of your '19

Hi Guardians, it's just coming up to 4.00pm here, and I haven't been back from the market long. It's been raining heavily for much of the day, with strong, cold winds. Not the best weather to be standing in the open, with just a tin roof overhead, but I had fun with the regulars, and managed to get in a Sausage and bacon sammich, and some cake!I better get on, and put my stuff away before Her Majesty is here!

Hope everyone has had a good day

Cheers! I didn't know there was a PDF of Mason's book available.Yeah, I have Nessmuck's book too, and Bernard S Mason's (though not the edition from my boyhood unfortunately). The reprints are inexpensive, and the PDF versions are free to download![]()
Lovely colouring there Jose. Portugal is obviously seeing more sun than the UK.

Showing my age. We had one of those at home when i was a kid. Most people had open fires back then. Over winter Sunday night tea{ dinner } was toasted sandwiches made with one of these. The introduction of mass produced square bread was their achilles heel and their downfall.I found this odd thing in the market, an archaic sandwich toaster! They must have been making sandwiches for the fairy folk I think!

We had one of those in the basement, going back to our camping days. We had a gas stove, a big tent that attached to the tailgate of our Plymouth station wagon, a set of nesting black and white enamel pots, and a gas lantern with a mantle, I think. This gas being canned gas, not gasoline. We had some folding wood-and canvas army cots, too.Showing my age. We had one of those at home when i was a kid. Most people had open fires back then.
