Sorry to hear about the awful weather, Jack!
I know we sometimes joke about how often the Cornetto Trilogy films seem to come up in this thread, but in the last day or so I saw two little tidbits of news (if you want to call it that) related to the films and the weather you all have been experiencing.
On Friday, wind toppled the spire on top of St. Thomas church in Wells, Somerset. You might remember that Hot Fuzz was filmed in Wells, and while this isnāt the church that was used in the film (that was St. Cuthbertās), itās still quite a coincidence considering what happens in the film.
Thankfully no local reporters (nor anyone else) were injured.
Hereās a photo I took of St. Cuthbertās (the church that was used in the film) when we visited Wells on our first trip to England.
The second is decidedly less newsworthy, but still of interest I think. Yesterday, Simon Pegg shared a photo on Instagram of the āmodern artā statue from The Worldās End, which was also destroyed by the wind.
(Sorry for the poor quality of the photo. It had been shared via Instagram Stories, which disappear in 24 hours, and at the time I saw it yesterday, I didnāt think to take a screenshot. So I had to rely on a screenshot taken by someone else, which I was surprised I was actually able to find.)
How about some Lambsfoot content?
