Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Really cool pics of your HHB and the "River Ouse".
Thanks Bill, the Ouse is one the Yorkshire rivers that the Vikings sailed up, they called York, Jorvik

They still turn up pretty often, I think they like the pubs! :D
Hello Guardians and all. Today we are going to have another great day here in southern coastal NC. Going to carry my new Senator today and borrow a slip from one of my other knives to protect it from dings, etc.

Dazzling Bill
Oh, my! As we say around here: Stay high and dry, Jack!
Thanks a lot Rachel :) I know it sounds like I have early-onset dementia (), but have I commented on your shingle before?
Oh, that's terrible. I feel bad for the people affected.
They are VERY used to flooding in York John, and remarkably laid-back about it. So long as the flood barrier on York's second river holds, they'll hopefully be alright
Jack Black Jack Black
It's sleek and more narrow than my other examples:thumbsup: thanks for the compliments:thumbsup:
Hope the weather improves soon!
I really is very attractive  Thanks Rob

After it stopped raining this morning, having been indoors since Friday, I thought I needed to get out and get some exercise and fresh air. I walked down to my favourite cafe, and had a coffee and a croissant, then walked into town. There's currently a lot of flooding in my area, but the River Aire, which passes through Leeds city centre, widens out considerably, as it does so, having been enlarged when the canal, which runs parallel to it, for many miles, was built. Because of that, while the river was engorged, the flooding wasn't too serious, and since I found myself down at the Royal Armouries, I thought I'd call in, even though I hadn't booked. They were happy to let me in, but the museum was overflowing with children on the first day of a week's holiday, and overrun with costume superheroes, entertaining them.

When I entered the museum, the kind lady on the door asked me if I was a Star Wars fan, as they had a display for the school holidays. I told her I had a friend who was a fan, thinking of JohnDF JohnDF :D

I took a few more pics inside the museum, but it was very busy, and several of the galleries had been temporarily re-purposed

I'm not sure what the rest of the week will bring. I've read there are FIVE named storms still on their way, and due to arrive this week, but we'll see

Good Morning Guardians
Day off today for me and my wife.
Going to go out and do something fun, just not sure what yet.
Hope you find some fun John :) Have a great day :)
There's no telling, so no worries. I'm as likely to forget as you are!
Sorry Rachel, yesterday is a mystery to me these days! I do seem to recall seeing it now! :D Good luck (again) though  :)

Yay! :) Your photos are always stunning Harvey :) It's good to see your Hartshead Barlow
Thank you my friend.
Edit - Well, it seems Storm Franklin is yet to arrive. I guess that was Storm Eunice last night? I've lost tally!
Easy to see why. Sheesh!
The same bridge yesterday.
Looks like Nature is having its’ way in your neck of the woods. Here’s to sunny days.
That is some awesome Stag on your HHB. I really like the way the Butterfinger colors match up with the colors of the Stag.
Thank you Bill.

It’s a sturdy and beautiful Lamb.
Another great picture, Harvey. 🤠
Nobody better lay a finger on your Butterfinger.
Thank you John.

What a treat going to the museum with you. Also enjoyed the images of Venice. I mean Leeds. Hang in there.

Good Morning Guardians. Barber

I always enjoy your armory pictures, but the Star Wars stuff is beyond exciting.
Thanks for thinking of me, they are certainly fun. Also, glad you were able to get out and stretch your legs a bit.
Thanks John, the Star Wars characters were life-size, but I don't know if they were original. They do have a number of original film props though, and regularly have others on loan

Thanks Harvey, against the odds, we got one today, for the most part :)

Cool museum pictures Jack, the flood waters are shocking, hope you stay safe this week of storms.

Time for a Presidents Day lunch from the Submarine Center the best sandwich shop in the City. The Atomic with extra hot pastrami, turkey, corned beef, jalapeños, provolone mustard and their special sauce. I skip the lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo. 😋😋 Oh yeah, a generous splash of Henderson’s! And this is only half of the sandwich.
