Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Woah you guys definitely need a break from the rain!!!
Yeah, it's been a rotten winter :(
Can't wait to see some awesome train and Lambsfoot pictures.
Hope they'll let me in! :D ;)
AC is a bright spot in an otherwise dreary reality.
Thanks Harvey :)
Cheers no never seen that! I'll watch that.
Really? :D It's probably the least good of them :D
Lol! I'd of fit right in then on LV-426. :D
They do though have an occasional barney down in Antarctica:
LOL! :D Blimey, standards are slipping! :D
I found this chap on YT who makes mead to a viking recipe. It's on my list of things to do but I want to make it from local honey which is quite expensive.
Keep us posted David
I'm repeating a pic.

Well worth repeating my friend :)

Actually I've just remembered something. My scientist brother applied to go down there years ago but withdrew his application when they gave him the operating manual for the place. He said they couldn't pay him enough to go down there to be trapped on the ice with a load of weirdos that would make The Thing look normal.

Keep us posted David
After the Anglo-Saxon ale I was meant to brew but never did.

Well worth repeating my friend :)

That horn is on 🔥 😍
Thanks :) That was the first Guardians SFO from 2017

Yeah, I used to know some of them, all went to Ampleforth College, very strange chaps  I was trying to find a film clip to go with my previous comment, the scene from Scott of the Antarctic, where John Mills is dishing out slivers of chocolate on Christmas Day, and his crew are all gratefully, and cheerfully, going, "Thank you Skipper!"

"I hear Amundsen is taking dogs Skipper."
"Dogs? What would he know, bally Norwegian, we'll take ponies!"

Crikey! Your another one I've met whose said chaps from Ampleforth College are weird. I've met a couple myself but they were patients of mine in York hospital, so I excused them. But then I started spending a lot of time up in that part of God's Own, and everyone says the Ampleforth College lot are strange. I wonder what they do to them in there....

Yep, that's one of the reasons a lot of them go out and live in the Antarctic, or join the SAS. I met quite a few when I was working with that Ventile company, who were also ex Ampleforth

Google 'Ampleforth College' and then 'prosecutions' or 'inquiry'. Bit of an open secret for decades unfortunately. They're currently forbidden from accepting new pupils. Surprised the place is still standing to be honest

Looks like I missed the worst of it in Leeds!

Sheffield isn't looking too clever either

Forecast for tomorrow isn't great...

Hopefully, I can get over to York, and see some old trains though :D If I don't get time to check in in the morning, have a good day Guardians, and I'll hopefully catch up later in the day

126 MPH, world steam train record. Stands to this day.
What a train!

All Aboard! A grand looking engine. Love the color, too.
Couple more from the same series :)

I don’t know how you go about picking which lambfoot(s) to carry, but thanks for sharing them. Really cool covers on that one, and many others.
Catching up I saw all of the posts of the flooding. Hopefully everyone is ok and the damage isn’t too bad
Thanks Jon, I mainly posted that one to show off the arrow-heads (in the Yorkshire Museum) :D

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is doing OK. We're not heading over to the museum until late morning, so I had time to call in, and wish everyone a good day

An older pic of my AC (I think that's btb01 btb01 Barrett's daughter's hat! :D)

My mate's little girl is better now, so if it's not flooded, we're going to go over to the National Railway Museum in York tomorrow. There's certainly a lot of flooding on the way, and very close by, but the weather forecast, for what it's worth, is reasonable, so hopefully we can get there OK. Sadly, we won't be able to stop for lunch in Tadcaster, as we'd originally planned :(

The centre of York is also probably best avoided

We might just get something to eat, in Leeds, before we set off

Think I'm going to take my AC with me, as on this previous trip to the museum

Gosh, how often do the streets flood? Hope it all dries out soon. Nice stag on that LF knife.

Great stag on your AC and a wonderful photo of it too. I love old train engines. It's in my blood as my Grandfather was an engineer for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.

Found it, John JohnDF JohnDF

Wow! 😍

Jack Black Jack Black , all that water looks awful. I hope things dry up quickly and that the damage left behind isn’t as much as I’m imagining it could be. I hope you have a wonderful time at the train museum!

Good morning, Guardians. I’ll be carrying my usual today, shown in this recycled picture from a couple of years ago that I took as a nod to the style of CelloDan CelloDan . Hope he’s doing OK.
