At the top of the photo, you might just be able to make out the bridge which links the two sides of the town. They had the same bridge since the English Civil War, but it was washed away a few years ago. They nearly lost the replacement last weekGosh, how often do the streets flood? Hope it all dries out soon. Nice stag on that LF knife.
Great stuff Bill, hard to get a decent pic with as many folks packed into the museum, as there were today, but I'll paste in a few below. Thank you for the kind wordsGreat stag on your AC and a wonderful photo of it too. I love old train engines. It's in my blood as my Grandfather was an engineer for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.
Thanks Greg, that's a beautiful composition. I am worn out after my trip today (young children can do that!), so I think I'll be having an early nightWow!
Jack Black , all that water looks awful. I hope things dry up quickly and that the damage left behind isn’t as much as I’m imagining it could be. I hope you have a wonderful time at the train museum!
Good morning, Guardians. I’ll be carrying my usual today, shown in this recycled picture from a couple of years ago that I took as a nod to the style ofCelloDan . Hope he’s doing OK.

We got about five minutes of sprinkles in Sacramento. It's a start! Now if we could just get that to go for a week or so, and cover the whole Central Valley, plus a bunch of snow in the mountains, then we'd be in good shape. We were supposed to get rain yesterday, but it didn't happen... and we NEED it!
Yes. It had shrunk off the liner at the head end and seems to have filled out again pretty well.Has there been any improvement Jer?![]()
I thoroughly enjoyed all the pictures of the beautiful trains. Thanks for posting them.
I would love to be dining in that car.
We got zero rain here in Loomis. We got about five minutes of sprinkles in Sacramento.
Slowly but surely, I hope.We went to York via the motorway, which bypasses Tadcaster, on raised ground. It was like crossing a vast lake! There's still a lot of flooding in York, but the water is starting to slowly go down![]()
Fabulous!Here's a few pics for y'all![]()
Looking mighty fine. Here is my hopeful Lambsfoot.
