Love beer can chicken Greg. My buddies always give me a hard time because I use an IPA for the chicken and a PBR for me!
Hahaha, that’s awesome, Toddain’t nothing like an ice cold PBR on a hot summers day
Thanks Greg, I've always found kids love the outdoors, and learning outdoor skills![]()
Agreed, Jack. Give the opportunity, they seem to soak it up. Such critical life skills to pass along, important for us all to play a role in stewardship
That's a cool way of cooking a chicken Greg, I don't think I've seen that here - mind you, outdoor cooking here is a rare treat rather than a regular occurrence!![]()
Much obliged, Jack. Its a fun way to cook a tasty yard bird. Beer steamed, infused w/garlic and butter of course![]()
Thanks, Dwight. It was pretty tasty indeed!
Glad you're enjoying it JJ, we have a great bunch of folks hereThank you very much, Jack!!! This is quite an enjoyable thread!![]()

Good morning Guardians, is it only Tuesday?!![]()
Hope your week is going well so far
Having got my boiler fixed, I'm off out for the day, to do some exploring, and take some pics. I blind-picked a Lambsfoot today, and came up with my AC
Have a good day Guardians

Thanks Bill, I'm just having a rest by the side of the riverJack, I am glad that your boiler is now ready to go and your AC is a fine one to have in your pocket.
Good morning Guardians. Going up to 100 deg F today but hopefully I'll finish my round of golf well before the temp reaches 95...yikes! I'll be carrying my HHB after I get back from the links. Last evening I used it to cut up some veggies for a salad.

Cheers!
Nice image and nice moment, Todd. The hickory nuts are already starting to fall on my deck. These little guys don’t hurt or make much noise when the drop.View attachment 1844313
Thanks John. We have some oaks also, some years entire branches fall from the weight of the acorns.Nice picture, Todd.
We have Oak trees... when things fall off the Oaks, they hurt A LOT!![]()
Thanks Harvey. Loved the article, thanks for posting a link. These, as you probably already know, are shagbark. I’ve never really considered eating them before reading the article. The squirrels get most of them of course, and I’m always sweeping up the mess. Occasionally they drop whole ones nearly the size of tennis balls as the article describes. Man does that make a loud bang on our deck! This year, I’ll be picking those up and giving them a try. Compensation for the mess!Nice image and nice moment, Todd.

I'm a sucker for Fall colors.

That looks amazing, now I'm hungry.
There was a choice, with the burger of 'thin-cut fries' or 'fat-cut chips'That looks amazing, now I'm hungry.![]()
