Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Beautiful knife and photo Jack. Hope you had a great time in town. 😎👍
Thank you Todd, that photo was taken at a beauty spot called Monsal Head. The viaduct over the river, originally carried a railway, but now carries a cycle trail and walking route.

The last time I was there, I watched a young couple arrive in the car park nearby. Each had a mobile phone in their hands, and they walked to Monsal Head, constantly taking photos of themselves (rather than of each other, let alone of the view). Once at Monsal Head, they both continued to do the same, while pulling a facial expression, which someone told me at the time is called a 'trout pout'!

That the guy you mentioned previously? At least Charlie’s Cafe will put a smile on your face. Have a good day, Jack.
Yeah, I'm afraid so, there's always more chance of him letting me down :( Thanks a lot my friend, you too :)
It’s almost over my friend.
Until the coronation! There could be worse things happen between now and then
Good Morning Guardians💂‍♀️
Another beautiful photo Harvey, and what a knife! :)
Looking forward to my weekend also. Half day of classes today and then a buddy and I are going to hangout at the Dam Bar. We are going to solve some of the world’s problems over a few beers and hotdogs. Tomorrow we are getting together with friends to do some boating and then grilling for dinner. Sunday I’ll be watching the Bucs play the packers. Have a great weekend everyone! 😊👍View attachment 1931810
What a great plan Todd! Nice photo too :)
Great pic, Jack!
Thanks a lot Pete, my 'Bad Bag'! :D :)

Looks like they’re having a good time. Although I hope they took their eyes off the screen, long enough to actually take in all that beauty.

There could be worse things happen between now and then
No worries. Your new PM will see to that.🤣

No, it was so weird Harvey, they didn't even speak to each other, or look at the view! There must have been a dozen or more people, all furtively looking at them, and nudging each other! :D That photo was actually taken by someone else! 🤣

I reckon!  🤣

🙄 We saw that the whole time we were on vacation this summer, my kids included! I guess I just don’t get it.
What a great plan Todd! Nice photo too :)

Thanks Harvey. 😎👍

Sounds like a lot of fun John. This is the best time of the year.
Thank you, Todd. :)
Yes... best weather, best fishing, best sports season, best holidays.
A fine savory image, John.
Thank you, Harvey. :)
I'm really enjoying the Autumn themed pictures, Harvey. 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'd also like to see Rodgers go 0-2. 🤣
Glad to hear you are enjoying the good weather to the fullest. 🤠
"Look at me, look at me, hey world look at me, the world revolves around me, and what I'm doing every second of the day, look at me" 🤣
Scrumptious. 🤠

Afternoon Guardians! Jack really enjoyed reading about your climbing days. 👍View attachment 1932193
Thank you my friend, it was a big part of my life, and I missed it for a long time. I was also Climbing Editor of this magazine (apologies for the hastily taken pic)

Great pic there, I always enjoy seeing old tools :)
Afternoon Guardians !

Slipped the Large rosewood in my pocket for the evening. I treated the covers to give them a bit more color and then gave then a coat of mineral oil and wax.

Cool pic :) I hope you enjoyed your walk

Good morning Guardians, I just spent half an hour trying to find a couple of pics, and didn't manage to locate either of them (I have approaching 3000 photos of my stag Hartshead Barlow alone)! I hope you all have something nice planned for the weekend :) Steve's photo above reminded me that it's been forever since I've been able to get out for a good walk, and I hope that it won't be long until I can get out again. Autumn is a lovely time of year to be in the woods. I have to head into town today, somewhere I usually avoid on a Saturday, but I have to pick up a parcel, and I'm hoping it isn't too large or heavy. It was originally supposed to be delivered to my home yesterday, but no time was given, and as I was supposed to be meeting up with my pal, I requested to have it dropped off. Unfortunately, the nearest location was in the city centre. I think I'll be calling in at Charlie's Cafe on the way ;) Have a great Saturday everyone, and enjoy carrying your Lambsfoot knives :)

How did you treat them. Looks a treat, no pun intended.

Thanks, I wiped them down with a solution of potasium permanganate a few times which darkened them quite a bit. I then lightly sanded them back with some 1200-1500 wet dry paper and then polished them. I then put a heavy coat of mineral oil on them and let that soak in for about an hour then gave then a lght coat of furniture wax.

Thank you my friend, it was a big part of my life, and I missed it for a long time. I was also Climbing Editor of this magazine (apologies for the hastily taken pic)
