Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Here’s something we used to get as kids, which I believe originated in Texas.

If I could have a bourbon and a cigar in class I’d never retire.

yards from the school, there was a cigarette machine, which was referred to as 'The school cigarette machine'!

In my second year of teaching I taught in a small high school about an hour from here. Within a few weeks I started noticing students going out the side door between classes. When I looked out there there were at least a dozen students smoking cigarettes between classes. When I said something about it to other teachers they said, “Oh yeah, that’s the “student lounge.” I couldn’t believe they knew but didn’t do anything about it. Times sure have changed!

LOL! I once worked in a brewery, where you could drink as much beer as you wanted, and we spent at least 6 hours out of an 8 hour shift boozing! It was so good, blokes who had retired still used to come in, along with those who were supposed to be on vacation!

Feel free to post any OLD Lambsfoot content! Beautiful stag on that knife, congratulations, but it isn't a Lambsfoot, it's a Sheepsfoot. Does Flavio Benini sell it as a Lambsfoot?

The taper is too gradual, but it is there, about 1/8" drop from base of spine to the "hoof". There were some issues when it arrived... This was the first lambsfoot he made (I drew the lines and the knife that showed up wasn't quite what I drew.) But I can exaggerate the angle and take some more off the spine to make it proper.

Howdy Guardians! Been a minute since I've had any new lambsfoot content to post. Here's one wearing some really handsome stag from a Brazilian maker named Flavio Benini. Blade steel is 14C28N, which is pretty cool in the sea of CPM-154 that is typical of custom slip joints:

Right, I didn't see it, but you're best placed to judge. I do wish custom makers would ASK if they're not familiar with the pattern, because they frequently get it wrong. You shouldn't really have to start modding a new knife, and you're far from the first to have to take that route
