Thank you David, I hate to cancel plans, but I'm glad I did as the weather is even worse than the forecast! :rolleyes: A croissant, and a couple of strong black coffees in Charlie's while I read the papers, has set me up for the day! :D After lunch, I think I might take sitflyer sitflyer 's advice, and make some soup ;) Maybe I'll even feel motivated to do some housework :D ;) :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians. Another frosty morning here in Coastal Southern NC. Unseasonably cool so I'll wait until it warms up a bit before taking my walk around Osprey Lake. Also, took some time to oil my HHB and give it a touch up on the stone.

Thanks Bill, one of the very last stalls in Leeds market to survive the current wave of gentrification is one which sells nuts, dried fruit, and various items for baking, and decorating cakes. Their Turkish dried figs are a little pricey, but very tasty, and since the 2022 harvest was very recent, they are currently even more delicious than usual :) Osprey Lake sounds a great place for a walk, I'll be Googling shortly! 😁 Fantastic pic of your recently pampered Hartshead Barlow 🙂👍
 
Good morning Guardians. Had this little devil chirping during the night. Finally got up in the middle of the night to change the battery and realized I didn’t have the correct replacement. Considered tossing it off the deck and into the woods to see if there was any carbon monoxide out there, but Mrs. Bigfish discouraged that thought.
