Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That looks like an intriguing book, let us know what you think when finished. (And if any knives were involved) :)

It's a good read my friend, a lot of the action takes place close to the John Watts factory. Knives, bayonets, razors, coshes, and guns!

Thanks, Jack! You and the Wee have a great day!:)

Thanks Dave :)

It’s heeeeere. The package came Tuesday and my wife forgot to tell me. :poop: Could have had this in pocket for the last few days. Oh well, it’s there now.

You gents are all making me so jealous. I haven't the pleasure of a lambsfoot yet. I will join the guardianship, though. I promise!
These are all gorgeous knives.
Good for you, a new Guardian lambs footer :D You may need to learn the secret handshake. ;)

Just sneaking on here for a couple of minutes ;)

Thanks GT :) They are all examples of sambar stag from Wright's, but all knives I own :) At the top is my latest wee staggy, which I've had a few months, the one below that I got last year I think. Both these knives I've ended up with as a result of picking knives up for other people! :D The next knife is a candle-end, the only one I've seen with sambar, which I spotted by chance at the factory last year. Finally, a "Senator", which Wright's re-handled for me, and which I've had a few years :) Great pic of your Union Jack my friend, sounds like it has had an adventurous day ;)
Thanks for re-orienting me on the "provenance" of your stag lambsfoots, Jack!:thumbsup::cool:

...
I have my Lamb in Stag clothing with me today.

I'm going to be heading out early in the morning, and probably won't get a chance to post tomorrow, but I'll have this wee staggy in my pocket :) Hope everyone has a great weekend

Dylan & Jack, those are a couple of champion-caliber stag lambsfoot knives!:thumbsup::thumbsup: You're making it hard for me not to break the Tenth Commandment: something along the lines of, "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife nor his knife nor his ..." (Just to be clear, it's the knife part that's currently challenging me. ;))

Sorry, GT. I must have missed this.

I do not think you should have any structural issues as I typically pass the thread back and forth a few times before trimming. You should be able to trim the frayed edges without ill effect with some small sharp scissors. If for whatever reason the leather starts to separate, please do not hesitate to send it back to me (on my dime) and I will repair it. I have opted to use a saddle stitch with these recent slips and I think the stitching is far more secure. But I will not know for sure until folks have pocketed them for awhile.
...That really is above and beyond Dylan :)
I totally agree with Jack, Dylan. Thanks for the advice, and thanks for your VERY generous offer, but I have no intention of sending the slip back for repair, and certainly not at your cost! You did all the impressive initial work, and from now on, if any repairs are needed, I consider it an opportunity for me to learn a little bit about leather work!:thumbsup::thumbsup::)

The way the British economy is going currently, with Sterling losing value, there might be a windfall for overseas Lambsfoot buyers! ;)
