Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The Bucket is also an amazing saloon. I should have taken some pictures of it...darn it!

Sounds like a great town to visit :D :)

Thanks for the fantastic pics my friend, fascinating old saloon :)

I'm afraid I'm still struggling with my back here, it's rather clipped my wings :( Still carrying my wee staggy though

I have had this one around a month now, it was one of the Lambsfoot missing in action.
Sure hope you can sort out the back problems.:(

Excellent, nice horn :) Did they all arrive in the end? :) Thank you my friend, I've suffered with it 40 years, it comes and goes :(

This is the Guardian, that Jack gifted to me.:)

Bad back eh? Carrying too many knives around?:D
But mind how you go or you might end up needing one of those trusses shown in the advert:eek:

Those old ads are interesting, yet nothing really changes: now we have digital clickbait and so called infomercials trying to sell us everything from restoring hair, building muscle, beauty and even curing macular degeneration everytime we read a newspaper article:rolleyes:

Good Stag though!

LOL! Hope not! :D Truss manufacture seems to have been big business at one time, a lot of cutlers doubled up as truss makers. The ads are sometimes the most interesting part of old magazines I find, but yes, the nature of advertising has not changed in its essence

Thanks Will :)

Sorry about the back, Jack. :(

I heard stories about my grandfather wearing a truss for many years before finally getting a hernia operation. Some in the family thought he was stubborn, but routine surgery was much riskier in the first part of the twentieth century.

but I've never been to a massage parlour, which as you know, often had a rather unsavoury reputation.

It sounds like your implying I'm familiar with unsavoury massage parlours...:D
Thats interesting about the Thai massage I may look into that. I broke my arm earlier this year and it's healed as it should of. But I've a mate who injured his pelvis at work at several years ago. He's just started a course of accupuncture; with apparent early promising results, so that was another option to be investigated.
Lazing about today.

Great pics today folks :)

Except now they call you at home. I know I'm old, but I'm not so far gone that I don't know I haven't requested a back-or-knee brace.

Do they really?! What a cheek! o_O That's an excellent pic Jer

I hope the back pain gets better soon, Jack.

Thanks a lot John, I am hobbling about :( I went over to the National Railway Museum in York with my mate and his kids today, but I had to take a cane with me, and it was a bit of a struggle. Kids really liked my antique cane though! :D

Thank you Rachel, I'm hoping I'm OK again by the end of the week :)

Yeah, that is true about surgery, one of my grandfather's went through the Boer War and WW1, only to die on the operating table having an ulcer removed

Lovely pic there, you have captured the colours beautifully

LOL! Sorry about that my friend! :D It's not cheap, I don't think, but then neither is an osteopath  I have been lazy in terms of seeing someone about it, other than my doctor (who is absolutely useless). Nice to hear you're having a lazy day :)
