Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

The scales on that lamb are... simply gorgeous

Thank you! I'm a bit partial to them myself, one of GEC's better jigging efforts, in my opinion.

You're a connoisseur, in every way, my friend :)

I remember, as a kid, my dad must have walked me 5 miles trying to find St Bruno Flake! Lot of tobacconists in those days

I am but a humble sampler of the innumerable finer things that life offers. 'Tis a shame about the extinction of brick & mortar tobacconists, isn't it? I have to get everything online anymore and it can be hit and miss there, from my experience. The days when one could saunter into a tobacconist, chew the fat a wee bit while you sample some of the latest blends, and leave having had a very enjoyable experience are fast receding, I am afraid.

Now I simply resort to having a puff on my back deck. It could be a lot worse .

Afternoon Guardians! Sure enjoyed your pics Jack. Sorry the festival didn't turn out as well as it should have. Captain is longing for the open sea. But alas he's landlocked in a sea of grass on the Kansas prairie. He takes it in stride and is a good companion today.

Thanks David, for all I know, it'll be completely different tomorrow :) Maybe I can persuade Tool Man and the Teds to attend! :D I'm sure Captain has had plenty of sea adventures to mull over while he's land-locked my friend :)

A modest man with a great taste :) Life is too short for mediocrity  It is over 40 years since I quit smoking, but even as a boy I loved to try different tobaccos, as well as good whisky. I could never walk past a tobacconist without at least stopiing to look in the window, and usually go inside. I was a regular visitor to the last tobacconist in Leeds city centre, buying smoking paraphernalia for other forum members, snuff for Andi Humppa and his dad, empty cigar boxes for my knives, pipe-cleaners for cleaning them, and razors, shaving cream, etc :) I really miss them being there

That looks like a great pipe Dylan, cool pic :)

Late start today. Day off so slept in a little. Woke up and went truck shopping. Dang it got expensive since the last time I bought one (2009). I have narrowed it down to two so I will take the weekend to decide. Treated myself to Culver's after. One of the best fast food joints in the country if you ask me. Whataburger vs Culvers would be tough to choose from. Got the new rosewood lamb on its maiden voyage today. Love the character of the wood on this one.

I also share in the aforementioned perspective. My mantra of life is this: "I'm to old to drink cheep booze". Applies to every day living.

I've not heard anyone mention Culver's before Paul, are they a national chain, or just a regional one? If it wasn't for this forum, I don't think I'd have heard of What-A-Burger! 😁👍
A running description. 🤣🤣🤣

LAMB chops, consumed with a LAMB.

Cooked an egg while they were resting. Egg, perfecto, still runny when you cut into it, but held together. 👌

If you needed any more proof. :p:p:p🤣🤣🤣
Looks like a great way to start the day Leon 🙂👍

Spot on Bill! 👍

I am a little new to the region but I believe Culvers is like a tristate located fast food joint. Whataburger is definitely a Texas thing but have seen one or two in other states.

Burger was great! Thanks Todd. Not looking forward to the payments but exciting none the less.

You can put me squarely in the Culvers corner.

I hear you on the tobacconist. I am a huge Dunhill (now Peterson) and Escudo fan. Nowhere to get it but online. Its a shame. Nice HHB.

Culver's has made it down to mid-Missouri. I haven't had any of their burgers, but can highly recommend their fish sandwich

Can't wait for my rosewood to pick up the character of yours. Really nice John
Good morning Guardians. One of my students gave me this Tootsie Pop before class. Little things go a long way. 😎👍View attachment 2085979
An awesome gesture. I bet you have many rewarding moments like that. Takes a special person to teach kids. I would be fired before my first day was out. Very cool Todd
Going with my first for the weekend. Hope everyone enjoys the day.

Ebony can't be beat in my opinion. My favorite cover material. Cool pic Pete.
Good Afternoon Guardians

Very scenic picture Harvey and wonderful lamb as usual. Your collection of older lambs are very impressive.

Great picture ! 👍

Thank you, Jack. It was made by a rather talented fellow in Ukraine. Sadly, he had to close his shop due to obvious events but I was gladdened to see he had opened back up recently.

Peterson has done a good job at maintaining some of those classic Dunhill blends. They also are my go-to pipe maker, no one pulls off that robust English style quite like Peterson does.

Great picture ! 👍

Thank you, Steve!

That is a classic beautiful Lamb.

This horn required some 2000 grit sanding..way to shiny for me.
Beautiful horn Bob. I don't like shiny either.
A special order I had that appears to be finished and shipped to me soon…
Fantastic BLUE!
With York Minster behind me..
Magnificent edifice Jack. Thank you for the tour!
I am always blown away by these.

What a wonderful long stem pipe.
Woke up and went truck shopping.
You have my deepest sympathy Paul. 🙃
