Long may it be before Grohman follows suit, but I've got mine, just in case. The new owners of that company must be STUPID to start making some of their iconic range overseas, it's not as if they are inexpensive! The first one I bought was made in China, so I returned it, which was quite a bit of hassle. I managed to find a Canadian-made model in an outdoor shop, after getting good advice from @Crazy Canuck
Some of the models are still made in Canada, which makes the decision to produce others in the Far East, even more stupid I think!
I was supposed to have another Canadian model delivered today, but the Royal Mail can't fight their way through the sprinkling of snow and sunshine
Unfortunately, even the Canadian ones now have the cheap-looking label inside
I imagine other corners are being cut too. A lot of good companies have gone the same way, as we all know

And if you're moving production somewhere cheap, lower your prices, dang it.
Speaking of flying creatures, as we were above, the universe is giving me immersion therapy for my bat phobia. There was one flying around my living room two nights ago, and there was one in my kitchen the Wednesday before Valentine's day. What is it about Wednesdays, I wonder. What really puzzles me is why they're so sprightly. A Winter bat once flew into my dad's face and fell on the floor, and a Winter bat once flew around my brother's ceiling light and went plop on his desk.
These two, and I fear it is two, because an active bat should starve pretty quick without bugs, have avoided my awkward but zestful attempts to humanely capture them, bolted into the basement, and disappeared. I like the "disappeared" part. And, if they are starving as quickly as I think they should, that's two good bats. I like that idea.
