Hope everyone is having a good day I'm hearing lots of snow-related horror stories on the radio, but they're not matched by what I can see out of my window I was hoping to go for a walk tomorrow though, take a few pics, but I now have to wait in for the mail, and the postie might not come until mid afternoon Hope everyone has something nice planned

discovered a new drink I really like (when fiddling with knives LOL). The Boulvardier. Have one, you'll love it

That doesn’t sound bad. I like a Negroni (one of Anthony Bourdain’s favorite drinks), but I’ve never tried one with whiskey instead of gin.

I've carried this, used it, even made peanut butter sandwiches with it, but today, I Flitzed it, oiled it, put it in it's waxed paper wrapper, and put it in it's tube along with it's button. Looks pretty good all spiffy and shiny. If you look closely, you can even see the ghost of the blade etch "Real Lambfoot Knife". Don't know what's in it's future but it'll be nice and cozy in a knife drawer until I decide. Who knows - maybe it'll go back to sandwich making.

I have a bat exclusion contract and a slightly sheepish bat expert. Once it's warm enough for the wretched things to go outside, he'll put up the one way door for them.

Oh, I've seen it before Barrett. I did start writing an analysis of my feelings towards Ricky Gervais and his career, but while I thought The Office was masterfully scripted, and Extras had its moments, in truth, given a choice between watching them again, and kicking him down the street like a football, I reckon I'd get more amusement from the latter!

I think the bolsters on the @waynorth lambsfoot are steel, or at least iron Jack. I don't see the slightest hint of yellow in the metal, but even more telling, the bolsters attract a magnet.

Strawberry jam on toasted wholemeal sourdough for breakfast There's still some snow here, but I don't think we've had anymore overnight, and since the road is completely clear, hopefully the Royal Mail can make it to my door! After that, I might, possibly, have a walk down to Charlie's, or find something else to do. I hope everyone has a great weekend

All this talk of Charlie's Lambsfoot had me hankering to carry one, so I'm having a Double Lambsfoot Day!

Thank you very much Bob It's funny, but it hasn't been anywhere near as hard as I thought it would, nowhere near as hard as giving up carbs, or beer, or sugar. I've been very busy the past couple of weeks, and could probably have eaten better with more time and effort. It could be argued that, by substituting one of those delicious fake-meat pies for a meat pie, is a bit of a cheat, it certainly hasn't been hard. When I think of all the other things I could have cooked, or bought in the supermarket, it has been a bit of an eye-opener
