Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I use GT's safety pin trick to keep my knife vertical in my pocket... works the charm and it's super easy to pull the knife out of the pocket and slip it back in.
Did you not watch Batman John?! Mise en place mate, mise en place!! 🤣😉👍

Afternoon Guardians! Ethan is the Lamb of the day. It's been cloudy, cool and drizzling most the day. Trying to clear off now. I'm off work for the next two days so all is well. 🤠

I guess not. I think Jakeywax31 Jakeywax31 used to be a mailman, we could ask him. 🙂

A couple years ago, I had ordered something on that big website a few days before Easter, fully expecting to get it the following week. We were outside on Easter morning, the girls having just finished hunting Easter eggs, when the mailman pulled up to deliver the package. I couldn’t believe they had them delivering mail/packages on Easter Sunday! I felt awful and apologized profusely (not that it was really my doing, but still). It’s like retail workers having to go in on Thanksgiving Day, just so idiots can save $100 on a new TV. 😡

Not an oath per say but the USPS does do a good job or as well as any in my experience at getting the mail and packages out. Every piece of mail that is recieved in the station goes out that day. First class and priority mail is not to be delayed. Rain, snow , or shine I never dared to bring mail back to the station unless it was undeliverable ie. person moved or mailed to an unkown address.

I have pretty much had to deliver parcels on every holiday minus Christmas and Thanksgiving. That big website you speak of is a huge client to the USPS and have an agreement with them to do Sunday Parcel deliveries in many cities around the country.

Glad you're a fan my friend, I must have 20 pairs, I never wear anything else  Seems to be a bit of a supply problem here at the minute though, not sure what's going on, a coup[le of UK dealers seem to have dropped them :(
They are great. Coincidentally saw a pair at the store I was at and noticed they are asking 85$ a pair now. Goodness!!!!
I'm amazed! :) I was buying some of the vegan stuff in a supermarket last week, and I saw the till-girl looking at me strangely, as if she had something on her mind. Eventually, she asked me, disbelievingly, if I was vegan! :D I told her, quietly, "Shhh, don't tell anyone, I'm the fat, working-class one, with the sense of humour, and I've eaten all the others!" 🤣 Might have to go to a different supermarket after Lent ends!😁;)
I laughed for about 5 minutes after reading. Funny story Jack 🤣 😂 .

My dogs like to bark at the mailman (he comes right up on the porch!) but I always remind them that the mailman is a real-life superhero. One of the keys to making the modern world work.

I had a job that included internal mailroom duties 25 years ago or so, and found that the delivery companies were all sort of reliable-but-not-completely, the airline cargo services were terrible, and the small charter plane companies we worked with were incredibly creative with their excuses. Meanwhile, the good old USPS just got it done, all the time.

Mise en place
Not sure what that means 🤷‍♂️

That sounds like a service the American people can be proud of Paul :) It has not been like that here for a long time unfortunately :(

It's got a lot worse since then :(

That's rotten :( There's no mail on holidays here. There are a lot of courier firms here, all of whom make Royal Mail look efficient. The big river site have their own drivers.

Yeah, they have never really been below that here. I usually wait until there's a sale or discount offer on, but with less firms selling them currently, that might not be possible in future. I do get value for money out of them though, some I've had for 10 years

It's a cookery term, relating to preparation before you start to cook, but it basically means, 'A place for everything, and everything in it's place.' Just like Grumble Towers! 🤣

Duane sitflyer sitflyer was a Chef in the Navy, I sent him this Velcro patch :)

Absolutely love that lamb Jack. 😎👍
I was getting some things done around the house yesterday including installing a ceiling fan in my son’s bedroom. It came with a remote control so the wiring was a little different than I was used to but I was pretty sure I had it right, but it didn’t work when I finished hanging it. I followed all the instructions for programming the remote but nothing worked. I was getting a little frustrated and figured I must have wired it incorrectly. I decided to leave it and take it down today and try again. As soon as I woke up this morning a thought popped in my head, before I even got out of bed, the switch! 😄 I was so focused on the remote control that I forgot to turn the wall switch on after I finished wiring it up, flipped the switch and…BINGO!
I’m definitely not an electrician! 🤣

Hello Guardians, starting off my day with some peanut butter on sourdough…yummy! 90B93C7A-E043-442E-99C0-D8046C8D2BE1.jpeg

Thanks Todd :) I think we've all had experiences like that at some point! :D I'm glad it's now :) Stan Shaw used to say that, while his son is a nuclear scientist, he still had to fit plugs for him! :D That looks tasty :)
