Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I think Tool Man's ears must have been burning, because I was still in Charlie's cafe, when he rang me, and asked, in most gracious tones, if he might bring my ammo chest over today, at my convenience. I think his wife, Lolly, might have said something, as he mentioned her in passing :D So, I've walked back home, and am currently awaiting Tool Man's presence

Good morning Guardians. Bright and sunny start of the day here in southern coastal NC but very cool. 59 deg F. Will be warming to the high 70's though. Going out to do some food shopping this morning. The wife over did it yesterday with yard work and her back is ailing. Looks like I'll be doing all the cleaning and cooking today and maybe the rest of the week:rolleyes:. Won't hurt me. My HHB will be by my side.

I hope the Mrs. recovers quickly Bill.
HHB is looking good.👍🏻

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that you're ready to do battle with another week ;) I have a bit of work to do, and then I need to call in at my docs, to see why my prescription request, last week, hasn't been actioned yet, and then head to the post office in town, probably calling in at Charlie's along the way ;) Since it's been a while since it was last in my pocket, I thought I'd carry my 'rare' Hartshead Barlow in Rosewood ;) Have a good day Guardians

Sorry to hear about your missus Bill ☹️ Hope she's feeling better soon 🙂 Your Hartshead Barlow is looking good 👍
Cool pic Jack !
Thanks Steve 😎👍

Tool Man had already had his lunch before he arrived, so after he'd gone I still hadn't eaten. The local shop had run out of samosas, so I decided to go to the Tunisian stall in Leeds market. I ended up talking to a couple of fellers in Arabic, after inviting them to share my table..

Next, I had to go to the post office to ship a parcel, which until recently was a very straightforward affair. Now, you're no longer allowed to do it yourself, but have to go to the counter. Even though the pleasant lady who processed my parcel knew what she was doing, and I had already filled out the customs form, it took 30 minutes, and she asked a lot of awkward questions. She also said that Customs have been returning a lot of overseas parcels if they're not happy with the content description, which you have to fit into a space about 1" by 1/2"

I went to pick up my prescription at 2.45pm, but they had decided to close for lunch, between 2 and 3pm! 😣 They didn't open until 3.10pm, and then told me that they hadn't packed my prescription yet, and it'd be another 15 minutes. It was actually 40 minutes, and they only had about a third of the items on my prescription. I'm going to have to find a better pharmacy

Now, I still have a bunch of stuff I need to do, which is going to take me well into mid evening because of all the wasted time in town 🤨

Sorry to hear about your delays Jack

Carrying Big Stripey today 👍

I drove by an empty field where the city stockpiles snow that it removes from streets.

At its highest point this pile was at least thirty feet high or so.

This is what remains as of today.

Hope everyone's week is off to a better start than Jacks 😉

Big stripey is looking good...memories of all the snow some people had to shovel.☹️ First time in Jersey, I did not touch a snow shovel.

Thanks Steve, frustrating afternoon  Big Stripy is looking good my friend :) Wow, I've never even thought about stockpiling snow! Here, on the occasions snow-ploughs are used, they just push it to the sides of the road, because snow never last for long :D

One near Charlie's, I hope.

There is one near Charlie's, in fact there's one close to the bottom of my road, but so many many pharmacies are useless here :( Do you remember the one on Ladbroke Grove Jer, which used to have a queue of hippies outside waiting for their 'scrip'?!

Superb photo Dwight
Thanks pal.
With two teachers for parents, he's worked hard to get to be that stupid,
There pride and joy no doubt.

You mean several lunches... ;)

I am truly amazed at the disfunction you regularly have to deal with in the UK. Remarkably sad.
