LOVE this post Jack - Hard case bunch of lads that's for sure!![]()
Thanks a lot palNICE Shot Jack of a beauty!
All those characters will have nowhere to go, once they finally destroy the marketIt's just so sad. When you see people do ALL their shopping at a supermarket and shopping centre, they are just like robots. All walking around stressed out with no one smiling.
I remember that 2 volume collection being publishedMe too, could not get enough of them. Years ago they published a 2 volume collection in book form, am i regretting not buying a set. They would be fantastic to pick up and just read a story from when you just feel like relaxing.![]()

Tool Man thinks it's outrageous that a man of Eddie's age has that much hair!Afternoon Guardians! Looks like another good day at the market. Eddie Two Quiffs looks like he should be sitting at a piano cranking out Jerry Lee Lewis songs.Mater is still with it today.

I am trying this position for awhile, then go to OTT to compare.
Striking slithering lamb Bob!Around my area, the cars and trucks help eliminate the deer. I always say we have lots of deer hunters but no killers!!View attachment 2257948
I love the parade of square pegs and dramatis personae Jack!Steady day at the market
It'ssssssss nice of you to say Dwight.Striking slithering lamb Bob!
That is deciduously captivating Dwight.
The Saturday markets in the Netherlands was a highlight for me years ago. Here in Texas, there is some "Farmer's Market" activity on Saturdays during the warm months but, it's not the same. It's just so sad. When you see people do ALL their shopping at a supermarket and shopping centre, they are just like robots. All walking around stressed out with no one smiling.
Impressive Dwight!
Great photo Mate, very imaginative.
Wonderful gestures Dan....and nice lamb. This is one of the two lambs I custom ordered several months ago forcigarrodog Harvey and myself. They were made by Ashley Harrison. The other is on its way to Finland to our Porch friend
Will Power who graciously offered to help after Harvey’s passing . I will be making a donation from the funds received from Will’s to Harvey’s favorite charity PAWS of Chicago. Mine came a few days ago but Will tells me that their postal service is somewhat slow. The handles on mine are 3,000 year old bog oak. Will’s has smooth white bone handles and he promised to post pics upon arrival.

Another stunning photo my friend
In the early days of the Guardians, I used to go over to Sheffield, and pick up Lambsfoot knives for folks, could generally get them for less than retail if I bought a few (gave a lot away). Then I did a series of SFOs, and hoped they would continue. Someone messed it up unfortunatelyThe Saturday markets in the Netherlands was a highlight for me years ago. Walmart and "Mega" markets have really killed off the "mom and pop" stores selling everything from plumbing fittings to milk/eggs/bread for daily consumption. What do you do when the one McDonald's in town isn't open or can't make an edible burger or warm french fries? Forget getting a knife not made in China out of pot metal locally.
These days, I'm refreshing my email inbox more than I would like to admit looking for a Michael May update to a question or two! Albers cutlery is a long shot it would appear but, who knows, I might win the email lottery when something of interest pops up. These lambsfoot knives are a bit of a challenge to source remotely from Texas!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has had a good week. More rain here today, and I'm thinking I might have to get out some of my winter woollens again!I dare say a few of you wouldn't mind a bit of that rain, and cool weather though
Inspired by
