Already August 3rd? July felt very long, but this month already feels like it is slipping away too fast.
One of my all time favorite lambs.
That's a beauty, Dwight.
Thank you Vince. :)
My 1st give away...forgive any bumps in the road.
On Tuesday, August 8th I will be giving these lambs away. First name out of hat gets 2. 2-4 names gets 1.All will be notified in order of draw. I do not want to tie up the thread, so on that day, simply say "I'm in" if interested.
Some will see them as beaters to save their good one, others who are new, to embellish their flock.
SEE YOU TUESDAY. 6:30 am EST- 5pm EST. when I pull names.View attachment 2274423
Mitch & Leon you are eligible.

Back to normal programming now.
You are a most generous and venerable gentleman Bob.

I called in a few places passing themselves off as antique shops here today. There's a few of them here, most sell a combination of overpriced old cr@p, and contemporary Goth tat. I spotted a few knives in one of them, all overpriced, including this one, but I found it quite interesting. Covers look like Rosewood. Tang stamp reads 'Forged Steel' over 'Foreign Make', something I'd expect to see on a Solingen-made knife, made for export in the 20's and early 1930's. 'Make' rather than 'Made' is an old Sheffield thing though, might be a story there. Sorry for the terrible pic, they're buying the cheap light-bulbs here! πŸ™„

Thanks David 😊 That's a real old-fashioned British movie, probably a bit dull today. It led to a long-running, and equally old-fashioned, police drama series, Dixon of Dock Green πŸ‘

My former "safe queen" is developing a patina.
They all got to earn their keep at some point Vince πŸ˜πŸ‘
Seeing as I have the 1, I will have to shake it up with different sticksπŸ˜„
Tasmanian sassafras today.

Nice Mitch πŸ™‚πŸ‘
Hello Guardians,

Hope all are well. Work is a booger right now. Putting my head down and pushing forward with fortitude.

Sorry to hear that Pete, it seems like you've been in the weeds a while ☹️ I hope things get easier soon buddy πŸ‘
Had a snake out in the driveway this afternoon. Didn't have my camera with me - so no picture and it wasn't bothering anything so I let it slither off into the weeds. Got me thinking of my snakewood covered lambfoot so will post a picture of it.

Classic Ed πŸ‘

Good morning Guardians, the sun is up in Whitby, and so are the gulls! And unfortunately there's no way to get a pot shot from my window! 😁 Hope everyone is doing well, and that you have a good Friday. I'll be seeing Tool Man later, so I shall try not to get arrested for GBH, and be under the blue lamp myself! 😁 Got my Hartshead Barlow with me today, as I don't want Lucy getting too excited as I visit the church yard where her former master once held domain! πŸ˜±πŸ€£πŸ‘

I had a hearty breakfast, and a disappointing first coffee, then went for what turned out to be a lengthy walk, during which it didn't stop raining once. I spoke to Tool Man on the phone a couple of times, but you'd get more sense out of a tin of Spam! Just having a rest for ten minutes, and then, if the rain has stopped, I'll venture out again. Plenty to explore here, but I'm not used to these hills anymore! 😁

Funny that those Goth Dracula fans should look for a Dracula grave in Whitby. I guess they haven't read the book or seen any of the movies?
😍the breakfast.

When the Kindle version went up to $99.99, I thought I'd better grab the hardcover for $78.99. Within two days, the hardcover was also $99.99.

Unbelievable isn't it Jer? You'd think if you're a Dracula fan, you might read the book at some point! πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« That's pricey Jer, especially the Kindle version 😱 Good-looking photo of Rose Beast πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Great picture of your HHB !

I hope the rain lets up for you πŸ‘
Thanks Steve, it's stopped for the minute, but I don't think it'll be long before it starts again πŸ™„πŸ‘

I got sandbagged by Tool Man again 🀬 I was going to get a taxi over to the rally, but he told me I could get a bus from the train station, which would be better as the taxis were having to queue to get to the gate, due to back-log of large vehicles having to be towed on. I walked the mile or so from my hotel, and called in at the tourist info office to enquire about times, and discovered the bus didn't run anymore! 🀨 I rang him to ask the last time he'd got on the bus, and he told me, "I dunno, a few years back!" He then suggested I get a taxi! 🀬 Instead, I'm enjoying a cold pint in my favourite pub, which is a lot more fun than spending Β£30 to walk round a muddy field! πŸ‘
