Good score Jack!I called in a few places passing themselves off as antique shops here today. There's a few of them here, most sell a combination of overpriced old cr@p, and contemporary Goth tat. I spotted a few knives in one of them, all overpriced, including this one, but I found it quite interesting. Covers look like Rosewood. Tang stamp reads 'Forged Steel' over 'Foreign Make', something I'd expect to see on a Solingen-made knife, made for export in the 20's and early 1930's. 'Make' rather than 'Made' is an old Sheffield thing though, might be a story there. Sorry for the terrible pic, they're buying the cheap light-bulbs here!

When the Kindle version went up to $99.99, I thought I'd better grab the hardcover for $78.99. Within two days, the hardcover was also $99.99.

I was going to get a taxi over to the rally, but he told me I could get a bus from the train station, which would be better as the taxis were having to queue to get to the gate, due to back-log of large vehicles having to be towed on. I walked the mile or so from my hotel, and called in at the tourist info office to enquire about times, and discovered the bus didn't run anymore! 
I rang him to ask the last time he'd got on the bus, and he told me, "I dunno, a few years back!" He then suggested I get a taxi! Instead, I'm enjoying a cold pint in my favourite pub, which is a lot more fun than spending £30 to walk round a muddy field!
