Probably miffed at you for getting him out of bed.buddy giving me the eye cause I was ignoring him
They seem hell-bent on destroying the local markets here, with many local towns, having already lost them. When I was a kid, there were coach trips to Leeds Market from other parts of the country. Now, it's barely worth getting on the bus to townHope things pick up. We need all small independent operators to survive, the large Corporates will completely dominate otherwise, which is their plan.
Thanks for your vigilance LeonSlipping down page one.![]()

Thanks David, nice to see your lovely-looking Albers againEvening Guardians! Jack hope you and Big Rose have a good time at the market tomorrow.

Good pic of Big Rose!Good morning Guardians, I was up 2 hours earlier than I needed today, so I thought I'd call in, before heading off to the market. I've managed to catch up with a good chunk of the work I missed while away in Whitby. The weather forecast looks OK for today, it's still cool now, but the sun is due to come out later. Not that will neccesarily make any difference to trade in the market, but it makes standing more pleasant. I felt sorry for the traders, when I passed through on Monday, and the rain was bouncing downHave a good day Guardians

Is that knife growing?!?
Only two things I hate: The Way Things Are, and Change.I reckon so LeonThere was a fantastic market in Bialystok in Eastern Poland, when I was there about 18 years ago. A couple of years later, they bulldozed it, to make way for a branch of McDonalds, and a new mall

If America never contributes anything else to world culture, there'll always be McDonald'sI reckon so LeonThere was a fantastic market in Bialystok in Eastern Poland, when I was there about 18 years ago. That looks like it went from something I could afford, to something I can't...Here's a little history of NYC's Essex Street Market. You can see how every bit of character has been systematically scrubbed away. The last time I saw it was a few years ago and it was hardly as vibrant as the website makes it look.
You mean Whataburger! If America never contributes anything else to world culture, there'll always be McDonald's View attachment 2290036
I hear they're good (the closest one is approx 130 miles away. I had to look it up), but they don't have the reach of McDonald's. Mac's are everywhereYou mean Whataburger!
