Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

LOL! :D

Lovely old knife David  That's quite a blade stamp isn't it? I'd say it's quite a bit older than my own

Thank you Vince :) Cool pic  Where's @JohnDF, I was just thinking of him (and Jammie Dodgers) this morning ?! :D

When I first started going to the market, before I knew Tool Man, people just used to refer to me as 'The Knife Man'! :D Tool Man quickly revived my old school nickname, Barn, and he calls me that at least 50% of the time. He almost always refers to me as Barn when talking to others, but I don't think anyone else has ever used it. I always refer to him as Tool Man, but I don't actually call him that when speaking to him :D

I suspect he's just very greedy! :D

Loving these suggestions guys! :D However, the dynamic around the tool stall is very much me and Tool Man being loud and lary, and laughing at everything and everybody, and everyone else just sort of putting up with us :D We're the only ones who think up nicknames, and it has to be said, they're not always welcome! 🤣 I did tell Scott, who has done very well to lose a lot of weight, that we were thinking of renaming him Slimline Scott, rather than Special Needs Scott, but Tool Man immediately corrected this to 'Slimline Special Needs Scott'! 🤣

Give it a go Barrett! :D

The library was such a big part of my life until I was well into my thirties, that it's sad to think that is no longer the case :( I have thought about joining Leeds independent library, but not sure I'd get time to visit. The central library (below) is quite impressive, and the Universities have their own libraries, but many branch libraries have been closed, and the remaining ones are very small. The situation is far worse in Sheffield :(

He says he only eats like that on Thursdays, but then he'll throw in various stories about his other scoffing sessions, such as ordering double fish and chips! :D Tool Man and the Teds are off for their annual pub-crawl and beano in York this weekend, so he'll no doubt, be consuming large quantities of ale, pork pies, and fish and chips :D A tale Tool Man has related to me several times, because he is still very much traumatised by it, is about when he and Mrs Tool Man were staying at a large hotel in Whitby some years ago. They went down for breakfast every day, and Tool Man scoffed the Full English, but being Tool Man, would have liked more food. On the last morning they were there, he asked a passing waiter, if he might have another sausage, and the waiter told him, "You can have as many as you like mate, just help yourself to the buffet over there." It's a story he tells with such REGRET! 🤣

🤣

That's a great pic Mitch  :)

Wow, that must have been great guys :) I wish I could have sat down with you fellers :) Thanks for the cool pics

Good morning Guardians, we've almost made it through another week! :D I never seem to have enough time these days though! 🤯 The weather is pretty miserable here again, and it's feeling a little cold. Hoping we get at least one good day for the carnival weekend here. All the roads are closed on Sunday and Monday (a holiday here), so I can't go anywhere else anyway! :D I'm hoping to catch up with Wolfie at some point, and my mate Matt, who lives close by, but I usually bump into lots of old friends over the weekend. The local cafes and businesses make a lot of cash over the weekend, but to some extent, that depends upon the weather, so I hope they do OK. I'll be calling in at Charlie's today to ensure they have everything ready! :D Have a good day Guardians :) I'm carrying my lovely Albers Lamb :)

I knew there had to be more than Just Jack!😆
Join your library, I use our system & always have a couple of books on order. I can't come at e books. I do like the fact our library system does have computers & free internet in branches, for those that don't have access. We have to keep them.

Maybe you should set up a bbq next to toolman's stall. Cheaper to buy bulk meat. You know a side of beef, whole spitted pig😜😆😆

I dare say I get called a few things behind my back Mitch! :D I was out boozing with one of the local librarians last week. Our local library is nice, but I have many times more books than they do, and a few dozen that I still need to read  I do see people using the internet, though the computers are very old, and the internet signal not good

LOL! :D I have suggested setting one up in the winter Mitch, but the market authorities won't allow it unfortunately :( Mind you, at least one of our regulars would probably set fire to himself! :D

I called down at Charlie's, where it is a hive of pre-Carnival activity, and had a coffee. However, since my fridge door will only just close, after last night's grocery delivery, I thought I better come home for lunch ;) Moroccan hummus and slow-roasted tomatoes on bagels 😋

Maybe Tom Hanks would like to put me in his will, since my twice great grandfather invented a typewriter.

Worth a try Jer! :D ;)
My goodness, I think Tool Man eats more in a day than I do in a week!

I hope all youns are looking forward to a good weekend.

He eats more in a week than a small country! :D Because I had to go to the bank, I missed the first couple of hours he was there, (he has breakfast before leaving home), and left a couple of hours before he packed up, so I cannot record a full inventory of his scoffing! :D Nice wee Lamb Rachel :)

Oh yeah Jack and that did not include the M249 M240 or the M2 ammo.
We shot almost two pallets of ammo these last few days.

And thank for the compliment on the pics we got an unusual monsoon roll thru.
Blimey, it sounds like you'd give our Texas contingent a run for their money! :D ;)

Well that's a shame. Our library branches have been updated, Can order online have them delivered to your designated branch. I have them delivered to the 1 near Kristy as she picks them up on the way home.

Well that's disappointing no bbq. I guess they have to worry about the, great fire of London 2.😉

Mr.Blackwood today.
Just got notice my daughter landed in London for a long run with the DEA. So, I need to encourage her to seek out some nice lambs.View attachment 2298417
I hope your daughter has a good visit Bob :) It's a good few years since I last lived in London, and even since my last visit, but if she ever needs any help translating Cockney Rhyming Slang, I'll do my best to help! :D I remember when London had lots of old street market, and junk and antique shops, but it's rather gentrified today, in some respects at least  Some very nice Lambs there my friend

It's terribly short-sighted I think Mitch :( I remember, when I would visit Sheffield central lending library, as a small boy. It is an art deco building, with a wide stone staircase running up to the front doors, which a 'commissionaire' would open for you. On each side of the steps, and in alcoves on either side of the doors, tightly packed together, young people would sit, reading, and discussing the books they read

Yes, particularly as Tool Man has no alibi for the first one! :D

I always appreciate your knowledge and willingness to help. Having come from New Your City, it may be a breath of fresh air Jack.
