I hope so Bob, London CAN be a nice city. There's lots of history, lots of things to see, great parks, and museums (which I think are still mostly free). I hope it's a good posting for your daughterI always appreciate your knowledge and willingness to help. Having come from New Your City, it may be a breath of fresh air Jack.
Beautiful carry Mike. The music people or the drug people or...?
I think its Texas for "youins" which is the Tennessee spelling
Everybody have a good day

When I first started going to the market, before I knew Tool Man, people just used to refer to me as 'The Knife Man'!![]()
Tool Man quickly revived my old school nickname, Barn, and he calls me that at least 50% of the time. He almost always refers to me as Barn when talking to others, but I don't think anyone else has ever used it. I always refer to him as Tool Man, but I don't actually call him that when speaking to him

I suspect he's just very greedy!![]()
Loving these suggestions guys! However, the dynamic around the tool stall is very much me and Tool Man being loud and lary, and laughing at everything and everybody, and everyone else just sort of putting up with us
We're the only ones who think up nicknames, and it has to be said, they're not always welcome!
I did tell Scott, who has done very well to lose a lot of weight, that we were thinking of renaming him Slimline Scott, rather than Special Needs Scott, but Tool Man immediately corrected this to 'Slimline Special Needs Scott'!
Give it a go Barrett!![]()
The library was such a big part of my life until I was well into my thirties, that it's sad to think that is no longer the caseI have thought about joining Leeds independent library, but not sure I'd get time to visit. The central library (below) is quite impressive, and the Universities have their own libraries, but many branch libraries have been closed, and the remaining ones are very small. The situation is far worse in Sheffield

He says he only eats like that on Thursdays, but then he'll throw in various stories about his other scoffing sessions, such as ordering double fish and chips!Tool Man and the Teds are off for their annual pub-crawl and beano in York this weekend, so he'll no doubt, be consuming large quantities of ale, pork pies, and fish and chips
A tale Tool Man has related to me several times, because he is still very much traumatised by it, is about when he and Mrs Tool Man were staying at a large hotel in Whitby some years ago. They went down for breakfast every day, and Tool Man scoffed the Full English, but being Tool Man, would have liked more food. On the last morning they were there, he asked a passing waiter, if he might have another sausage, and the waiter told him, "You can have as many as you like mate, just help yourself to the buffet over there." It's a story he tells with such REGRET!
That's a great pic Mitch![]()

Good morning Guardians, we've almost made it through another week!I never seem to have enough time these days though!
The weather is pretty miserable here again, and it's feeling a little cold. Hoping we get at least one good day for the carnival weekend here. All the roads are closed on Sunday and Monday (a holiday here), so I can't go anywhere else anyway!
I'm hoping to catch up with Wolfie at some point, and my mate Matt, who lives close by, but I usually bump into lots of old friends over the weekend. The local cafes and businesses make a lot of cash over the weekend, but to some extent, that depends upon the weather, so I hope they do OK. I'll be calling in at Charlie's today to ensure they have everything ready!
Have a good day Guardians
I'm carrying my lovely Albers Lamb

Merry ole England Mike. Supposedly, a hub through with Africa funnels the drugs. Thanks, Bob
I'm surprised that the DEA has an office in London. I wonder if the British equivalent has an office in D.C.
Wait...we are talking about London, England and not London, Kentucky, right?
Hope she enjoys her time there![]()
I just hope she doesn't come back to you talking like a Cockney!I'm sure she will enjoy her experiences there Jack. She has been looking forward to it. Now, I have to renew my visa, which can take months!

I imagine the African drug-smugglers are shocked by the levels of corruption, and criminality they find, and encouraged by the lack of police, and police fundingMerry ole England Mike. Supposedly, a hub through with Africa funnels the drugs.
