I'll be going to an Arbor Day party tonight, where we will eat Texas BBQ brisket, drink Shiner Beer, and plant/dedicate some trees. I have a friend in the neighborhood who likes to host events for obscure holidays. His Flag Day party in June is legendary.

haha no corn only Larch, Spruce and Pine grow here. Those Mountains are as the crow flies 2 miles away, they actually surround the town. Banff National Park gates are 2 miles away.

LOL GT! I recently finished rereading the entire Sherlock Holmes stories which I last read about 15 years ago. Fantastic stories! In regards to age though, it wasn't my memory that failed me, it was my reading vision....

Thanks for your input, David. Coincidentally, I happened to check out Mycroft and Sherlock from the local library. It's written by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a former magnificently-skilled professional basketball player, and a co-author. I know nothing about the book, but my expectations are not high. My lambsfoot colors are somewhat "naturally enhanced" by late day sun rays shining horizontally on the knife.

My newest Barlow acquisition is this George Wostenholm IXL Lambsfoot. This knife needs cleaned, oiled and sharpened but other wise in great shape. Thank God the previous owner(s) never buffed it. Anyway I am including pictures of the tang stamps in case someone may know the date I know very little about these knives.
