That's pretty rare in my own experience Daniel 😁 Great-looking Lamb buddy :) 👍
I thought I heard a big sigh of relief.👌 Nice Jack.
Thanks pal, just sat here, post-dinner, with a large glass of Cardhu 😁👍

It can be hard work this time of year Barrett, and with the size of the average TV these days, hauling a couple of them can't have been easy. I'm glad you got to relax with a nice dram😊👍

It probably would’ve been easier if I’d had Julie help me carry the bigger one (65”) up from the basement before she left that morning, but I managed. 😁 The backlight went out on that one a few months ago, and we replaced it then, I just hadn’t gotten around to getting rid of it. The other TV was in our bedroom, and although it smaller than the one from the basement, I think it weighed more. We’d had that one since we got married, about 15 years, which I think, sadly, is a pretty long life for a TV these days. That one started turning itself off after 30 seconds. The new one I bought this weekend to replace it feels like it weighs nothing in comparison, cost way less than we paid for that one back then, and the picture quality is 10x better. 🤣

The other fun thing about getting rid of TVs is that you have to pay someone to take ‘em off your hands. I was looking up where to take them beforehand, and the county-run recycling center we usually go to (because it’s closest) charged $20 per TV, a couple other places charge $30 each, and one place charged $1 per inch of screen size. 😳 I ended up driving a little farther to a different county’s recycling center that only charged $10 per, because I’m cheap. 😁

Nice picture of your HHB !

Thanks, Steve!

Barrett, how is that Lagavulin 11? I've never had the pleasure . . .

It’s pretty good, Jeff. They’ve done three 11 year Offerman Edition Lagavulins: a standard one, one finished in Guinness casks (which is the one I had last night), and one finished in charred oak barrels. I have a bottle of each, but I’ve only tried the first two. Haven’t cracked open the charred oak on yet.

I haven't even looked round the hotel yet, but it seems pretty incredible. The view from my balcony over to Fuerteventura and Isla Los Lobo's 😎👍

Glad you made it, Jack, and what a view! Thanks for reminding me that I need to pick up a couple bottles of cava this week. The girls (that is, Julie and my sister-in-law, not Eleanor and Scout 😉) always want mimosas on Christmas morning, for which we usually use cava rather than champagne. (Not sure I could tell you why, none of us are experts when it comes to sparkling wine. We’ve just sort of found what we like and stuck with it, I guess.)

I forgot that I took this pic while I was out shopping on Saturday. I stopped in a shop that carries some international snacks, candy, beverages, etc. (It’s the place I used to be able to find dandelion and burdock.) Jack, I thought you’d get a kick out of the price of a can of Heinz Beans. That’s a bit more than I remember seeing them sold for in England. 😳🤣

Glad you got the TV's sorted. laying to get rid of them is no good. I'm cheap the council area we had free kerb side pick up twice a year for free, so I'd wait.

Not cheap for beans🥺
Jack on holidays
