Nice pic, Tyson. That Lambsfoot is almost camouflaged on your table there.
First time I've ever seen (or even heard of) those Brit beans. Did you buy a can to try?
Like Jack said, I think they are (or at least used to be) ubiquitous in the UK, the standard bean for beans on toast. I can’t remember if I ever tried them when we were staying with my brother in Bath, but they did have some in their pantry. (I think I even took a knife pic with ‘em, but probably not a Lambsfoot.)
I passed on the beans, but I did buy a couple overpriced British candy bars you can’t find anywhere else here. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized they were past their expiration date.
We stopped doing cable/satellite TV when we moved to Minnesota, and just stream everything we watch now. As much effort as I put into consolidating and organizing my DVDs/Blu-rays, I only ever use them when something I want to watch isn’t streaming on one of the (too many) streaming services we subscribe to.
Sounds like you’ve really gotten your money’s worth out of your TV!

Maybe they have a better solution for recycling old TVs over there, or, if it still works, you could find someone else to pass it along to if you decide to get a new one. You really can get a lot of TV for not a lot of money these days, I’d assume it’s similar over there. I got a new 43” TV for the bedroom for less than the price of a new Albers.
Did you get one of those fancy new curved computer monitors?
Blimey Barrett, that's STEEP!

Cool pic though!

I remember seeing them in the grocery store there, and while I don’t remember the exact price, I know it wasn’t
that much.
That’s funny. Heinz ketchup might be an American icon, but I don’t know if the beans were ever marketed here. I’d bet that any Heinz beans sold here (like the overpriced cans I saw the other day) are imported from the UK.
I did think of
The Twilight Zone Jer! The staff joke that the place was designed by a lunatic!

It's bizarre, in one elevator the floors are numbered top to bottom, in another they're not. Obviously, when I checked in, I was given directions from Reception, and I'm beginning to think that's the only way to get to my room!

From Reception, you walk anticlockwise around the central tower, go to a set of lifts, and descend 2 floors. You then walk clockwise around the tower, walk down a long corridor, take a right fork, which slopes uphill, turn right, and right again, to find a hidden elevator, descend 3 floors, turn right, and walk down another long corridor to my room at the end. Now, there is actually an elevator almost next to my room, which I've used a couple of times to descend to one of the pool areas, and it's a much quicker way to get to Reception. However, when I tried to come back that way, I found the elevator did not have a floor 3, it was numbered from 7 to 12, which, since it's a low level hotel, is kind of crazy!

That’s wild, Jack. Hope you don’t turn a corner and run into these two.
And if a bathroom attendant says, “You’ve always been here, Mr. Black,” get outta there!
Maybe I'll just stay in my room from now on!

I was looking for a telephoto camera lens earlier, and realised I must have left it at home, which is annoying (hoping I didn't lose it at airport security!). However, I did remember the important things!

Glad you’ve got the essentials, Jack.

I don’t remember if it was something I read, or maybe something from a TV show, but I remember seeing something about how common it is for Brits to pack tea bags, condiments and even groceries (like baked beans) when going on holiday abroad. You didn’t bring any Henderson's with you, did you?
