Looks delicious Todd πŸ˜‹πŸ‘

I sense a theme! πŸ˜πŸ‘

Very handsome David πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Can you please make sure you have read post #1 πŸ‘πŸ‘ Happy to answer any questions regarding ordering by PM. With regard to Wright's, they have made knives with oxhorn. I seem to recall some mentions ramshorn in relation to Wright's, which surprised me as they've always previously refused to use it. They're not shy about making substitutions in my experience πŸ™„ TEW have used ramshorn for many years, though in it's polished state it would be hard to differentiate πŸ‘

Good morning Guardians! πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Fuelled by beans on toast, I set off early to walk to the market at the Rubicon Marina a couple of miles away. There didn't seem to be too much to it, so I walked on, all the way to the Playa Blanca port, where I got a taxi back. I took a load of photos with my camera, but only a few with my phone, and the three I took of Wee Staggy are all out of focus! πŸ˜–

Along the way, I had a strange encounter with a couple of Spanish lads in their late teens, I would guess, outside one of the Rubicon shopping centres. They hailed me in Spanish, addressing me as amigo, which seemed a little strange considering our age difference. After I spoke to them, they asked if I was English, and when I said yes, they both threw their arms up, saying "Yay! That's what we like! We love the English!" Then, they both shook my hand very warmly, wished me a good day in Spanish, and went off chatting excitedly! I thought maybe they had had a bet on my nationality or something! 😁

No shortage of English people at Playa Blanca, which is a lot more touristy than where I'm staying. I did think about having lunch, but they were still serving breakfast at 12! 😁 Just going to eat now πŸ˜‰ Have a good day everyone πŸ‘

Sounds like you are found a fine place to recharge your batteries Jack.

That does seem odd. Pretty ineffectual as villainy, though, which is always my first guess.

I had to google the obvious: they make a a sand-pad crutch/cane tip for use on sand.

Thanks Jack. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

Looks beautiful there Jack. πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
Thanks Todd, it's more scenic in the area closer to my hotel. I'm hoping I get a few decent pics, with the very bright sunshine, and my photochromic lenses, it's nigh on impossible to see anything more than my reflection in the camera screen! πŸ™„πŸ˜πŸ‘
Looks like you're having lovely weather ! πŸ‘
It certainly makes a change from the UK Steve πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Yeah, I had my camera in my hand, but it was connected to my wrist. It seemed like a pretty public place for villainy too πŸ‘ That's cool Jer, I did think about bring a ski-pole, but the sections were just too long to go in my suitcaseπŸ˜–

Here's my walk, from the Sandos Papagayo to the port. Not sure how long it was, as there's no scale on the map! πŸ˜– Pic is too large to upload though! πŸ˜–
A handsome devil my friend πŸ˜ŽπŸ™‚πŸ‘

I have a few pair of those. I've been using this short one for our few ice days so far, though I have proven myself capable of falling on ice even with two sharp-toed trekking poles.

Projected high of 40 today and 54 on Christmas!

My first attempt at making mincemeat pies for Christmas this morning. My Mother always made these for Christmas and now that's she's gone I figured I would give it a try.

Making the shortcrust dough was pretty easy, I did that yesterday. Rolling it out and filling is a bit fussy but also not too hard.
