AH, the corporate way, the rule that they all bow at the alter too. Cut costs to increase profit, the quality has no bearing on it.but then some idiot watered the sauce down
LOL!Are you sure instead of a hotel you didn't book one of those panic escape rooms?
Congratulations JoeWell, after purchasing and using my first Lambsfoot knife from Sheffield in bog oak I realized what all of the fuss is about. What a lovely blade! Great for a variety of uses. This is a picture of my first getting ready for some real hard use!

So, I decided to pick up another one. This time from A Wright with stag scales and the fancy filed backspring! What a looker!!(In my opinion)

Gracias my traveling friend. Thanks a lot buddy, wonderful photo there
Beautiful image Barrett.Looks like a tasty lunch, Mitch!Festive shot of your TEW, too!
I’m glad your mom had a great birthday, Rachel. Sorry to hear about the covid, and very sorry to hear about Echo.
Glad you were able to find it, Steve! That’s wild that it was still there perched on the branch!
Glad you were able to help the old feller out. I thought for a second you were going to say he hadn’t known all his friends and family would be there, and he was in the bathroom avoiding them.
Very cool knife, Steve!I’ve certainly never seen anything quite like it.
Busy weekend here. Had to haul two TVs to be recycled on Saturday morning, then go buy a new TV and try to finish up some Christmas shopping. Most of today was spent tidying up and tackling a few other tasks around the house. (Still not quite finished on that front, but I’ve still got a few days before family starts showing up.)
Winding down now with Christmas movie and a nightcap.

Blades are tight with great snap. The Bone is dark but really comes to life in the sunlight.

Another jewel. Ya gotta wonder how that bone can be so worn when the blades look untouched!Good morning Guardians
Today I'll be carrying the last of the three vintage Lambs recently acquired.
This is another G. Butler & Co. and another two blader.
The stag on this one is pocket worn silky smooth.

Wait... What? From Reception, you walk anticlockwise around the central tower, go to a set of lifts, and descend 2 floors. You then walk clockwise around the tower, walk down a long corridor, take a right fork, which slopes uphill, turn right, and right again, to find a hidden elevator, descend 3 floors, turn right, and walk down another long corridor to my room at the end. Now, there is actually an elevator almost next to my room, which I've used a couple of times to descend to one of the pool areas, and it's a much quicker way to get to Reception. However, when I tried to come back that way, I found the elevator did not have a floor 3, it was numbered from 7 to 12, which, since it's a low level hotel, is kind of crazy!

Can you please make sure you have read post #1Does anyone no if the ramshorn handles that come from A Wright are special order, the sight mainly lists few kinds of wood the odd stag.yet I see alot of people with that clear looking ramshorn,,eventually in the new year I will have better communication with them, but trying to envision my order.or do they even do ramshorn anymore, and that is something only taylors eye witness does.
Thanks Jack.Looks delicious Todd![]()
Looks beautiful there Jack.Good morning Guardians!
Fuelled by beans on toast, I set off early to walk to the market at the Rubicon Marina a couple of miles away. There didn't seem to be too much to it, so I walked on, all the way to the Playa Blanca port, where I got a taxi back. I took a load of photos with my camera, but only a few with my phone, and the three I took of Wee Staggy are all out of focus!
Along the way, I had a strange encounter with a couple of Spanish lads in their late teens, I would guess, outside one of the Rubicon shopping centres. They hailed me in Spanish, addressing me as amigo, which seemed a little strange considering our age difference. After I spoke to them, they asked if I was English, and when I said yes, they both threw their arms up, saying "Yay! That's what we like! We love the English!" Then, they both shook my hand very warmly, wished me a good day in Spanish, and went off chatting excitedly! I thought maybe they had had a bet on my nationality or something!
No shortage of English people at Playa Blanca, which is a lot more touristy than where I'm staying. I did think about having lunch, but they were still serving breakfast at 12!Just going to eat now
Have a good day everyone

Can you please make sure you have read post #1Happy to answer any questions regarding ordering by PM. With regard to Wright's, they have made knives with oxhorn. I seem to recall some mentions ramshorn in relation to Wright's, which surprised me as they've always previously refused to use it. They're not shy about making substitutions in my experience
TEW have used ramshorn for many years, though in it's polished state it would be hard to differentiate
